Bilbo will be so delighted.” Note to self: It needs a hobbit to get a scruffy ranger into a presentable state. *grins* Delightful, my dear Janet. | *squee!!!!* I was wondering how long a wait there would be when you mentioned this over at LJ. Happy it wasn't as long as I thought it might!!! :oD That was just too adorable a beginning. Of course the puppies would be a bit more cautious than Scamp. Scamp *knows* Aragorn is trustworthy in the utmost, but did have to giggle the pups went first to his bootlaces. :oD Sam has seen his first Elf...That was fantastic!! Wonder just how much his mind will be on his chores. ;o) I love how much just in this first chapter you've touched on the previous stories in this universe. | A very promising beginning to what I know will amount to another wonderful Shirebound tale! :) (and one at that with Scamp!!!) I really enjoyed Sam's reaction to meeting Elladan. You write young Sam so well ... young Frodo too. | Oh, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! Another tale from Shirebound! And Elladan is here as well as puppies! And hurt and comfort of course! I did have to grin at my own perception of language though. To this Brit 'washing up' refers to doing the dishes and not so much to washing yourself! However, I am sure that Estel is happy to do both or either in Bag End. Author Reply: Thank you for your enthusiasm, Harrowcat. | How delightful to see this story continuing. Estel's history with Frodo and the return of Scamp leave me in such a happy place! And bringing Elladan into the Shire makes Sam's dream come true! | YAYAY!! You finally started posting it!! Ooooh, I like the changes you made - I don't remember Sam meeting Elladan before - didn't he drop out of the tree after Sam left? Hmmm, that's how I remember it anyway. I love the exchange between Estel and Frodo... but of course that's a large part of what makes your Quarantined universe so wonderful - their relationship. I also really enjoyed Elladan's assessment of Frodo, and the differences between his responses and Sam's. Can't wait for the next chapter! Author Reply: Yay!
