Elf, Interrupted: Book Two: Glorfindel's Quest  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 7 on 4/27/2008
Ah, poor child is trying to turn her face to the wall, is she? And your reborn Elves do play quite a bit--good therapy indeed for those two. Heh!

Author Reply: I'm sure Sorondil and Oromendil will actually learn quite a bit from the Reborn with whom they play, more than they realize. *grin* And poor Lindorillë is indeed trying to turn her face to the wall. Hopefully, help will come in time to save her.

Wise decision to forbid the Maiar to appear out of nowhere and to disappear into thin air again, at least for the time being. After all that happened, a few people are bound to panic, particularly Reborn who may have been at the Tournament.

Poor elflings. I am so sorry particularly for Eruanna and Veryandur. It is a bit much they’re put through lately.

Have to agree with Olórin. When I learned that Lindorillë was on the way to the stables, I wondered why the stealing of horses seems to be a favourite pastime for the elves ;-)

Ah, so Irmo has borrowed Finrod’s book about ‚Creative Punishments’? *snicker* Well, even the Valar can learn something from the children now and then! And though I didn’t like Meneldil very much before, it seems I have to give him credit for a good idea for once.

But now I am worried for Lindorillë. That doesn’t sound good, not at all. It is about time that the Valar figure out how to bring back our two strayed warriors!

Author Reply: I suspect that both Irmo and Námo have an entire contingent of Maiar on watch amongst all the Reborn who were at the tournament to ensure that they don't panic or do something precipitous.

Children, of course, are less able to process certain things in their lives as easily as adults, even those who are recently Reborn, and so they need special attention. And I suspect that Irmo has been looking for an opportunity to take a page out of Finrod's book of 'Creative Punishments' and Lindorillë fits the bill very much. *grin* Unfortunately, she is taking things too much to heart and is in danger of fading.

We won't be going back to Finrod and Glorfindel immediately though. We still have to see what is happening with Vorondil and his atar before we get back to our two strayed warriors, but never fear, it won't be long now.
