| I am so glad I waited to look at this this morning! Think I've got a good suspicion on what's happening with Beleg... Awesome, incredible, astonishing imagery and symbolism here. And Namo being "not nice" when he needs to be, as much as he cares. Too much is at stake, and they needed to be reminded of just *who* they're dealing with... As for Beleg, *grin*...this is gonna be good. Well worth waiting for the next two chapters. More, later. Cat Author Reply: Thanks Cat... I'm pleased that you find the imagery in this chapter so incredible... and symbolic. Námo knows how to not be nice when needed and the Reborn tend to be more familiar in their intereactions with himm than the Once-born and tend to forget sometimes just *who* they're dealing with... so this is a nice reminder. | They're back! Yay! I'm so glad! *breathes sigh of relief* Oh wow, that was an intense chapter! Though pretty much all went as I had guessed (save the doors and hallways Beleg and Sador had to imagine), I was so anxious if it would truly work - and work well! I love these butterflies. It is so nice that they turn up instead of all going black or the like and then lead the elves on their way. Though, as much as I enjoyed them, I'd prefer not to see them again if I get to see them only in connection with such a drama ;-) And now that they made the (near) impossible possible, all of them deserve a big hug, particularly Beleg *hugs all of them*. Their friends and family and Finrod's entourage will al be *so* glad that they are back and hopefully safe and sound *worried look at the screaming Beleg* Thank you, Fiondil - this long awaited chapter was great! And now I have to run to work ;-) Author Reply: Hi Kitty, I'm glad you thought the chapter was well worth the wait. | I just love the butterflies! Excellent chapter. I'm glad they are really back home now. *Grin* I'm ignoring Beleg's screaming. Nope. don't hear it. *sticks out tongue* The Valar were great in this chapter, btw. Oromë and Námo especially. Bravo! | "Then, from up in the loft, Beleg began screaming" -- Hm. = It's dark and he doesn't know where he is? = He's upset because Glorfindel and Finrod aren't with him, and he assumes things have Gone Wrong? Especially since Sador isn't there either, so he doesn't realize he's back where he's supposed to be. Or maybe he's afraid that although *he* got back, Sador & co. are now missing? [After all, he's still *very* young.] = He's surprised because the loft is full of butterflies? And everyone's unconscious *except* Beleg. *No* idea about *that* one. Well, you got them back: and apparently without any lasting problems (can we trust you on that?). Author Reply: The reason for Beleg screaming will become clear in the next chapter though the resolution of the situation will take two chapters to tell. As for the rest... you should know me better than that. *grin* | |
