| Raiding the kitchen like elflings is certainly a rather unique form of stress relief for respectable warriors *grin* But as long as it works ... ;-) Nice solution to the dilemma *who* has truly won the Tournament. Really, I doubt anyone will allow Finrod and Glorfindel to fight against each other again, at least for the next few centuries! A pity, really, but too dangerous ... *sigh* If they'd ever try, then probably all the Valar and a host of warrior Maiar would show up to separate them. I think it was wise to let Finrod explain publicly what happened, at least to a certain extend - it is clear Glorfindel and Finrod can't tell them everything. And I loved the ceremony to honour the winners. The gifts you found for the finalists are lovely - they show so much thought and appreciation of them. No wonder particularly Beleg, Finrod and Glorfindel were moved to tears! Enjoy your journey, my dear! I'll miss my weekly Fiondil fixes, no doubt. I'll probably have to re-read EI completely again, and a few other stories as well to tide me over. And I look forward to mid-August! Author Reply: Well they were able to put their warrior skills to good use without having to kill anyone. LOL I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for reading and letting me know. Someone else has already started to re-read EI-1 to fill in the time. She's even leaving a review for EVERY chapter.
