Elf, Interrupted: Book Two: Glorfindel's Quest  by Fiondil 14 Review(s)

Having children playing with the reborn makes sense. In my eyes beeing reborn is a bit like having a second childhood. And children like to play with other children rather than with adults. And is has the efect that the children will get used to the reborn and accept them so that in the end they are more readily accepted into society.

So Gwindor is not sad, he is bored. Bored elflings in combination with paint can only lead to chaos.

I wonder how many others also thought that Lorien needed more colour and just don´t dared to do anything?

" "We’re not elflings," protested Gwindor as Region and Celepharn nodded in agreement. " - No, they are not elflings they just behave like elflings.

" Ingil nodded, giving them a mischievous look. "Which is probably why she immediately ordered every pavilion in the groves set aside for the Reborn painted. The elves were quite enthusiastic about it and even some of the Maiar helped." " - To have the feeling that Lorien needs more colour seems to be a rather widespread.

I´m glad that Celepharn is behaving much nicer now. I really liked to know more about the lessons he got. But I also want to know about him the nearly burning down the gardens.

Great chapter. As was the chapter before.

Hmmm ... I like Meneldil’s idea to bring more elfings to Lórien to play with the Reborn. I think they’re good for them.
And I see these two elflings are learning themselves that the Reborn don’t deserve the contempt their own parents have for them. Very good!

Ah, they want to paint rainbows on the pavilions? As that’s the emblem of Irmo, the idea isn’t that bad *lol* And the two Maiar discussing about interfering or not was fun, too. It’s true – they are under order to keep out of things, after all :)

Of course I was snickering through half the chapter. To watch them painting and realising that all these Maiar were watching was so hilarious. And then Irmo turning up ... *LOL* I could imagine how they felt at this point!

I think Lórien will going to be much more colourful and lively in the future *snicker* It *really* needs more elflings!

Oh, and I am glad to know Artelemnar got around to be a much nicer elf than the one we got to know earlier when he was so nasty to Sador. I had already wondered what might have happened with him.

Thank you – that chapter was great!

Author Reply: Hi, Kitty. Glad you liked this chapter. It was a lot of fun to write, especially having the elflings and Reborn think they were actually getting away with it. *grin* We'll see more of Celepharn/Artelemnar in a subsequent chapter. He didn't show up again just to paint a pavilion. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Very nice chapter! Nothing would be quite as fun as painting a pavilion... especially if you thought you were being sneaky about it. :) Nice to see that Celepharn has changed a bit from when we last saw him.

Author Reply: Thanks, Radbooks. We will see more of Celepharn in a later chapter. There are reasons why Atar has inspired Glorfindel to come to Lórien with Finrod and he's one of them.

Oh, this was fun! There is something about a blank surface that just begs to be coloured. So Este had them paint all the other Reborn's pavillions did she, smart move on her part, with the Maia helping she had some control over what got put on them!
I am glad Celepharn has rejoined the other Reborn and has benefitted from his 'lessoning'!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Thanks, Lynda. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Estë is no one's fool, and all her protests to the contrary, I think she quite enjoys looking at Irmo's pavilion.
