Elf, Interrupted: Book Two: Glorfindel's Quest  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)

Bright blue -- not a *bad* color, and it's a minimalist sort of flet at this point, and blue goes well with the tree's normal colors, so I don't see a problem. If it were a deciduous tree, there would be a very different effect during the winter. *blinks at the mental picture* But all in all, I think Irmo's gold would have been a better color scheme.

The good news: Glorfindel's no longer moping. The bad news: he's making plans....

So Irmo called the Maiar away on purpose? Hmmm. But "perhaps in a few weeks"? That sounds as if maybe they're keeping Glorfindel away from Ingwion et al only until they get past something (maybe what just happened in the last chapter).

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing what misadventures this merry adolescent crew happens upon on their way to "Tirion." Not to mention the inevitable havoc when they reach Nienna's.

Author Reply: With Glorfindel it's always a good news/bad news situation where that ellon is concerned. *lol* We'll see what he and his gwedyr come up with and the consequences that follow from it soon enough.

Glorfindel offering to help Celepharn is quite a difference to the incident at the beginning of their acquaintance, but I have to admit I like this new Celepharn much more than the old one.

They painted the fleet bright blue? Hmmm ... though blue is my favourite colour, I think I’d chosen green or yellow or maybe red to blend in better with the wood. Even gold would have been better. But of course, that wasn’t what these two had in mind *grin*

Oh well, it was only to be expected that Glorfindel didn’t take well to the refusal to let him meet Ingwion. The Valar do that on their own peril, if you ask me *evil grin*

Btw, wasn’t the name of Glorfindel’s friend Ecthelion, not Echthelion, as you spelled it twice?

What a surprise to have Sador and Beleg showing up in Lórien! Was following their scheming alternating between amusement and worry, not being sure what will happen when they really try to sneak off to Nienna’s. And that Irmo called the Maiar away is highly suspicious, really.

Can’t wait for the next update!!

Author Reply: Hi, Kitty. It's always a pleasure to read your reviews. You're right about the spelling of Ecthelion's name. Not sure how that got by me. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

We will see in the next chapter just how clever (or not) these three ellyn truly are. *grin* And Irmo calling off the Maiar is indeed highly suspicious.
