Yes, they could do with a break, when you get all those alpha people together things can get a little fraught.
Hm, now you have me scratching my head and frowning over just who Erendil has decided on.
Cliffe time again and I have to be up early on friday, sale day and the store opens an hour early.
I am on vacation for the following two weeks and I am going to have a go at trying to load some of your stories on my e-reader, if I can figure out how, that is!
Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Well, Lynda, it won't be long before we find out, so just hang in there. *grin* You'll have to tell me how successful you are in loading my stories to your e-reader. I would like to purchase one myself, but will have to wait until I can afford it (i.e. I'm actually working). They would be handy to have when on vacation or traveling.

A lovely chapter, meldonya! There was so much in here between the Council, personal discussions, the events on Valanya, the contests and Eärendil's musings.

I've been suspecting for some time (more than ten chapters ago, to be honest)that Sador would be the chosen candidate for Cáno, though I can't tell you just what put that thought into my head at that time. But he is the only character that I think meets are the necessary requirements and matches the description of the person Eärendil is thinking about.

As a Sindar from Endore he'd be acceptable to (most of) the Tol Eressëans, he has the family connection with Arafinwë and therefore the other Amanian royals, he's comfortable in the everyday world of the common people and the Court, he's experienced traumas in his previous life that colour his current thinking and reactions (in other words, he's he's got great incentive to work to make sure something like what happened in Endore doesn't happen here) but he's flexible enough that he can compromise when needful.

Of course, if I'm right then his likely first response will be something along the lines of surprise ("Me?"), terror ("I can't do it! I don't know enough! I'll screw it all up!), and then suspiscion ("Glorfindel put you up to this, didn't he?").

Well, we'll have to see if I'm right. Regardless of who is picked for the job, it will be interesting to see the reactions of everyone.

Bravissimo! I can hardly wait till Friday! HAve a good week!

Author Reply: Of course, I can neither deny nor confirm your suspicions, Edlyn. *LOL* I think at least one other reviewer has suggested Sador as Cáno. You'll have to wait a few more days to find out if you're right. At any rate, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. Have a good week, yourself.
