Wouldn't Corudir, Giladan & co. be suprised to know who was listening to their conversation? ;)

I love this chapter - I just hope our dear Aragorn doesn't get too ill!

Hugs,

Sarah xxx

Author Reply: No kidding. Rather embarassing, really... though I certainly would never want to embarass my OCs, oh no... *whistles* Thanks for reviewing :)

I loved this chapter, Ainu. It's good to see Aragorn again sitting in the shadows and listening to what his people have to say about him. I'm sure those public meetings will change most drastically. And trust Aragorn to know which criticism to heed, and which to disregard.

I do hope he'll let Giladan, Corugir and Co know about Thorongil's fate. That should be fun to read.

Elessar in disguise, yay! I hope you'll let him reveal himself to the old fogies gossiping about him.

Author Reply: Ah, well... you'll see what happens. And while they may be old fogies, they're *my* old foggies, which makes them better than other old fogies. I do like that word...

He's a lucky king if he gets to clear his calendar over a headache. Why do I have a suspicion that he's going to feel worse before this is over though.

Author Reply: Because I'm writing it ;)

A very enjoyable chapter. i love stories where Aragorn is incognito.

Author Reply: Oh, I do too. Simply put, there are not enough of them out there.

Excellent chapter. The "king in disguise" bit never grows old.

Author Reply: I agree completely. I wish there were more of those stories out there, actually.

I like the little voice in Aragorn's head. If only he would pay more attention to it... His vision was cool too. (Not hallucinations, I hope).
At least this venture is producing some good, that Aragorn is learning what some of the people think. A little bit embarrassing for the men, though, if they knew.

Author Reply: Not hallucinations, certainly- I imagine hallucinations would be more along the lines of fiery brimstone and torture, or purple ponies and flying pigs. Both rather terrifying, really... ;) Thanks for reviewing :D

It's wonderful that Aragorn is hearing, firsthand, what the people are thinking about. He's going to be such a wonderful king.

Author Reply: He's the only king I'd ever follow :D Thanks for reviewing :)

I love the humor that you put into this piece and love the stubborn Aragorn you have written. How Aragorn evaded the guards was funny too. The coughing sounds serious! I can't wait for more!

Author Reply: The way I see it is that no guy who wanders around a really dangerous world could ever survive if he were not ridiculously stubborn. I mean, you have to be stubborn to *live* in some of the situations he likely encountered. Thanks for the review, perian- sorry there are no hobbits! :P
