Very Nearly The Beginning...  by Grey Wonderer 44 Review(s)
Mum's the WordReviewed Chapter: 1 on 6/27/2008
Oh, I remember reading this earlier! I loved it then, and even more now. If Errol was once Arwen's, and is of Elvish make, that explains a lot about his character.

Well done, GW!

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed this little repeat portion of the story. Having been among the Elves would explain a bit about Errol. Thank you for reading!

Get well soon, dear GW! I understand that large quantities of poached fish will help stimulate creativity. That's what I've heard, though I haven't actually tried it myself. But it might help.

Oh, but I have baked fresh, fudgy brownies. That should help, shouldn't it?

Hugs and brownies,
Mum

Author Reply: I want the brownies. I think I can be well again if I have lots and lots of brownies. As to the poached fish, well...pass the brownies will you, Mum?

I remembered this entire scene while I read it, and I loved it -- all over again! I do love your Errol series and I'm so glad you're updating to it.

Happy Birthday, Marigold!

p.s. my own wicked taskmaster will be screaching my name soon, so if you don't see a review soon after this one, then that means I'll back later after a day of hanging on a fanfic cliff wondering how this tale is going to come out!

Author Reply: I had planned just to post the next chapter and leave this bit out but it's been a while since Errol turned up in a story and so I thought he might need a bit of a set up before going on. Anyone stumbling in here on accident might not have a clue what was going on in the next bit.

Yes, I do hope Marigold is somewhere having a lovely birthday.

Well, this isn't a very big cliff. You can probably let go and not fall more than half a foot. I do hope the wicked taskmaster is out sick or something so you can relax.

I thought it was as entertaining as ever! And very clever, too! But, yeah, wicked taskmasters and OT have a way of wreaking havoc on my Muse, too. Btw...with the exception of one instance, Elves are not found in any of my stories, either. :-P On to the story! :-)

Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed my prologue. I am certain that Elf people everywhere are tearing out their hair and wailing just at the thought of this but I had to do it. Errol insisted and someone we know mentioned stickses!
Thank goodness Llinos knew a thing or two about what elves might say or I'd have been in very big trouble! Until now the only Elf I've written seriously was Legolas. You and I have to get out more.
