| Urgh. That was chilling - to put it mildly. At first, I was amused by the Ring's frustration to have ended up in such an unfitting environment, but when Bilbo spoke the curse... yes, those things always backfire, don't they? I wonder though how that first child of Otho and Lobelia's would have turned out, if not the Ring's intervention. Although with such parents... Author Reply: Ah, yes, curses within Middle Earth had a bit too strong a tendency to manifest themselves, didn't they? As for how the child might have turned out.... Well, we do have the example of Lotho, don't we? (SHUDDER!) | |
