Well, they found the darwisa alright! Zafirah is certainly an interesting character. Very suspenseful; and it's always nice to see Faramir demonstrating the resolve and resourcefulness Tolkien gave him, not to mention Arwen exerting queenly authority. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked Faramir and Arwen in this chapter. It was fun to give Faramir a chance to show his quality.

Cliffhanger! I really hope Zafirah arrived in time to rescue Aragorn. That was a great chapter. I really like the darwisa, especially her answer to Faramir's most urgent question. “Is there an antidote?” Faramir demanded. Zafirah smiled again. “Of course. What use would it be to us, if we could not control the powers of life and death the plant holds!” Of course there had to be an antidote. Otherwise the poison would be useless. For unlike some men, women think ahead ;-) I also loved how Arwen used her position as the Queen to decide against the healers. I only wished the next chapter was already there... Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think these wisewomen know a great deal they will never reveal to men!I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter and the darwisa.I hope to post more next week.

The entire chapter was filled with suspense, lots of moments where I caught my breath. I like the Darwisa a lot. I like how faramr was so persistant and wasn't willing to back down. I loved how you ended it with Arwen commanding as the queen she is. This is really wonderful and exciting! It's a good thing the second guard knew him. Now, to get the antidote into him! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It will not be easy at all giving the antidote to Aragorn!

I loved your description of the First Circle. What a place that is! And oh, am I getting anxious about Aragorn while all this is going on! Great chapter. This chapter was highly colorful. I loved the contact with the Haradric culture and Faramir getting to disguise himself as one of them. All of the OCs are proving fascinating. Well written, and the mood of the place was well presented, as is Faramir's concerns for his friend. Now, will she come? She'd best do so, or I fear Faramir will haul her over his shoulder and carry her bodily up the city to the top! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I agree Faramir will do anything to get the darwisa to come! I'm pleased you liked the chapter.

Adiva is certainly an original and refreshing character! Looks like Faramir is on the right track; but will he be in time? And the Darwisa is introduced in a very mysterious, dramatic fashion that heightens the tension. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you like my Ocs. Poor Faramir must be fearing with every moment that passes that he will be too late.

Harad is so fun to write about. I was glad to see you include some of it in this chapter. I had to put on some of my bellydancing tunes to help set the mood. I like the addition of the shaman woman. I could almost see the bright colors of the house and such. I'm eagerly awaiting chapter 4!!!! Hang in there Aragorn!! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It is so sweet of you to review on more than one site. I'm pleased I could create the atmosphere for you.Let us hope Aragorn's tough Numenorean genes help!

Slightly melodramatic, but hopeful. If only the Haradric ambassador has a clue! Am waiting to find out what aid he can give. And good for Faramir to think of it! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I fancied writing a bit of heavy angst of the kind I used to again.I think Faramir would be a great friend in a crisis.
