Aragorn is so brave here especially as he can see history repeating itself. You really are a master plot weaver as I have no idea how you are going to get him out of this one.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you are enjoying the plot. Aragorn with have to try somehow to get out of the mess I've created for him!

Uh-oh, things don't look good for Aragorn. Very affecting scenes between him and his son and the man he treats as a son. And I liked the touches with Arwen trying to fight despair but growing more fearful and sad by the minute...

Aaah! Eldarion's three! Oh, the parallels!

Thought Bond? I am intrigued.

It's a really good thing that Aragorn has Faramir as his regent--one need only look at history to think of how most people would act in such a situation--"I need you to rule this land, but only for a while..."

I'm glad that Faramir is looking into the antidote, though. Aragorn's doing the right thing in assuming he's a dead man and putting all his affairs in order, but until then everyone else needs to keep looking!

Again, very powerful and gripping. You do excellent angst, and never once let the whole thing escalate into melodrama.

I roughly based the "Thought Bond" on the Vulcan Mind Meld in "Star Trek" as I thought Numenoreans and Elves had similiar abilities.I explained it fully in chapters 34-35 of "Burden of Guilt" as all my stories are linked, though I hope they can still be enjoyed alone.
Faramir would make a perfect regent, being so honourable.

I had to check again here, just to make sure Aragorn was still with us! Oh my oh my! I am excited for chapter 3!! You should write for some of these crime dramas they have on TV now. Their viewers would be glued to the screen even more so! I would have to say though, if this really was an episode of the show "24", it would be one of the most tense and exciting ones ever!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It is sweet of you to review on both sites.I wish I did know how to write drama scripts and get rich!

This is such an excellent exposition, a set-up that is simple, but thrilling. I'm very curious about how this will work out.

love this story! I am eagerly awaiting chapter 2. I wish I could reach out to the characters and comfort them. You've done a great job of building up the tension, and I am most certainly on edge. I'm so excited to see how this plays out. :-)I really do feel like Aragorn is in an episode of the show "24".I'm ready to claw through the TV screen with anticipation! You would laugh if you saw how I was yelling at my comuter screen when I first read this. truly!

Oh my goodness! That really cracked along a pace with very well done mounting tension. However is Aragorn going to get out of this one?
