| he found himself wondering just how long this council should last. About 32 pages by my edition's reckoning! *wry grin* Somehow Boromir strikes me as the type that won't be able to sit through it well... meetings are meetings, and all that delicious backstory is really better suited to his brother! Still, I hope enough will penetrate through his skull that he'll have somewhat more of a clue of what's going on than in this chapter--he's definitely beginning to put together the pieces, but not enough to make a concrete whole! Author Reply: I, too, have thought Boromir must have found his attention wandering at times--and then finding himself gobsmacked a time or two when some revelation such as Isildur's Heir and the true nature of Isildur's Bane were revealed. I bet he found himself rather reeling at times, and at others shaking his head at the tedium of it all! But he's beginning to realize there is more here than is meeting the eye. | |
