A very moving drabble indeed. It must have been a joyous day to the Dúnedain when Aragorn returned to them. And you've captured that very wonderfully with Halbarad's reaction. Author Reply: Thanks, Estelcontar! I'm glad you liked this... and yes, joy surely must have nigh exploded in Halbarad, and in all of them. It's hard to really imagine but fun to try.

I like this. What a fun, yet poigniant, limpse into the moment when hallbarad met Aragorn. I like how you illustrated Aragorn as being young, gangly, and hardly more than a boy. But I also liked whn Hallbarad looked into his eyes and "knew". Very well done! Author Reply: Thank you, Roisin! I figured Aragorn probably still didn't have quite the full measure of his growth at this point, even though he was 20. I look at my nephews, who of course are *not* Numenorean, and at 20 they still have a gangly look about them. I figured Aragorn might as well.

That was wonderful! I too felt tears, funny that such a small piece of work can evode such strong emotions. Hugs The Imp Author Reply: Thank you, Imp! I'm so glad it moved you to tears, wow. I'm glad you think I fully captured the import of that moment.

Ah what joy must have filled the hearts of the Dunedain when their lord returned, even if he was only a scrap of a lad! A wonderful first meeting between two great friends. Author Reply: Thanks, Inzilbeth! I'm glad you liked this little glimpse into Halbarad's first impression of Aragorn.
