”Pui-en-orch”? _”Pui-en-orch”_?? *blinks at author* _That_ was Glorfindel’s last words?? How ... prosaic.

On the other hand – if he had struck a dramatic pose and then started orating, I am sure that balrog would have decimated the refugees and warriors, and then gone on to flatten Glorfindel – who would have been too busy orating and posing to take the balrog with him.

And I am sure the bards rendered his last words into someting more heroic anyway.

*shakes head in amusement* *Pui-en-orch*

Author Reply: Hey! What else is he going to say at that moment? *lol* Though the image of Glorfindel orating as the Balrog squashes him is quite funny. No doubt the bards (not having been there anyway) probably did have him make some sort of heroic speech before taking that fateful and fatal leap into the history books.

You know, I really need to stop cruising the internet at 2:40 in the morning . . .

Reading this post has now made me more awake then ever. Curse you and your spiffy writing. *grins* This, personally, was one of my favorites to read. I got to see some of my favorite characters, especially those mentioned in your other stories and got a interesting view of the ending of Gondolin.

Haha! The way you end it with Glorfindel was awesome! It was so. . .Glorfindel. :03

I know I probably should be sad about him later dying but the way he went out was a clincher.

Ah, the *other* Legolas Greenleaf. . .Will he ever, perchance, meet our Mirkwood Legolas in Valinor? Just trying to help the muse is all. . .^_^

I was in truth, hoping for more Ecthelion but I will take what I can get. :)

Awesome job, as always I enjoyed any writing but this one made it into my top faves'. :0)

Author Reply: Now, MP, you really cannot blame me for your poor sleeping habits. *lol* I'm so glad to hear that this is one of your favorite stories.

Glorfindel was definitely being Glorfindel at that moment, so what else could he have said? *grin*

It would be interesting to see Legolas of Gondolin meeting Legolas of Mirkwood. I bet that Glorfindel found it very amusing when he first met the younger Legolas, remembering the older one. Of course, we never learn what the Gondolin Legolas' fate ultimately was. Did he survive the War of Wrath and sailed to Tol Eressëa or did he find himself in Mandos and is waiting to be released? Well, maybe the Muse will come up with something someday.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this story, MP. Thanks for reviewing and letting me know. I really appreciate it.
