I absolutely love that it isn't until Earendil seeks forgiveness that he is finally allowed to help. And I love that Elrond is the one to find Aragorn at last. And finally, I love love love love LOVE how Elrond holds and warms and comforts our poor Ranger. Sooooooo fatherly and compassionate and loving.

*heaves very contented sigh*

Author Reply: Oooh, a lot of love in this review, thank you very much!

Knowing we are not alone is so important! Love this chapter particularly for that. Neither son is alone this night!

Author Reply: Thank you! You know, the first draft title of this story was "You Are Not Alone", so you are perfectly right!

Ah, that was wonderful, especially the last line where Elrong looks to his own father for comfort. What a relief though that Aragorn is now safe in Rivendell, even if he isn't out of the woods yet.

Author Reply: Thank you! A relief for me, too... During the previous days, I was really looking forwards to finally get to these chapters where Aragorn is finally safe =)

What a scene! I watch with Earendil, and see Elrond attending on his youngest son, his mortal son. It's a scene of love and sacrifice, beautifully written!

Author Reply: Thank you! I must say that I love this scene too, and I really enjoyed writing it =)

Oh bravo, bravo! Well I don't know about Elrond, but I had tears in my eyes reading that! And it was quite brilliant to have Earendil guide Elrond in the way he did. I had to quickly check that wasn't the last chapter and I'm very relieved to know there is still more to come.

Author Reply: Oh, thank you! *bows*
No, this is not the last chapter, there are still things to do and words to say.

LarnerReviewed Chapter: 12 on 10/4/2009
Hooray! At last he is able to communicate in the only way he can, and father aids his son to find the grandson that was almost lost! Yes! Now, to save his life and the leg!

Author Reply: All the family relationships finally helped to find Aragorn, now to save his life and leg, as you said! =)

Earendil's cry is one that many have echoes through the ages. Dare we hope that rescue is coming?

Author Reply: Thank you for the review here, too! =)

The relationship between Earendil and his sons must have been rather heartbreaking, since he had to abandon them forever.

Loved the image of Elrond riding out to find Aragorn - go,go, go!

Author Reply: Oh yes, he had to abandon his sons so young, knowing that he's leaving for a journey that he probably won't return from... Now he can at least cheer with you: "Go Elrond!"

Oh! I love Earendil's thoughts about Elrond! I've never been one to think it had been easy or simple for Earendil and Elwing to leave their small children behind-- I know it must have been agonizingly difficult.

And I really do love the idea that perhaps Elrond's foresight has let him know where his foster-son is!

Author Reply: Thank you very much, I'm glad that you like my interpretation of Earendil's thoughts. Yes, it had to be very, very difficult, to leave their sons behind when going to a jurney that they won't return from... Earenil thought at least that Elwing is with them, and Elwing had no choice... Poor parents!

And if anyone can find Aragorn, then it's Elrond!

Yes, oh yes, hold on, Aragorn! You've produced yet another interesting angle here. This is such a strange separation for father and son and completely unique. I enjoyed your glimpse at it from Earendil's POV very much.

Author Reply: Thank you! When I thoght about the strange relationship between Earendil and Elrond, I remembered Bilbo's words: "he said that if I had the cheek to make verses about Eärendil in the house of Elrond, it was my affair."
