Ah, yes! Whatever you did allowed the rest of the page, even the review button, to now be seen! Somehow the other format apparently planted a command after the italics that stopped the rest of the page from loading properly. This is much better!

And what a thing to be reduced to--playing at being what one actually is already! Now, to read on!

Author Reply: Glad you are able to read this story now, Larner. We will see how success these particular Elves are in playing themselves. *grin*

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The return of the infamous Elf and the Fruit Vendor. I really wish you would post the verses sometime. The El squared seem to enjoy being the center of attenion - and they actually managed to get drunk? Poor Glorfy having to deal with those two even now. The story is delightful.

so just what is verse 31 about? I remember even the Valar had a laough oevr it. Perhaps your muse will grace you with the sordid tale of the hapless elf in said song nad you will share the story with us?

Author Reply: In Elf, Interrupted: Book One, Finrod describes in general what verse 31 was about. I believe it had something to do with turnips. At any rate, this song is really X-rated and not fit for posting anywhere. I think you will just have to use your imagination. Besides, coming up with 31 verses of a song would be a real chore.

I am glad to know that you are finding the story delightful so far, ellie. I hope you continue to do so. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

What an interesting assortment of roomies they have! I pity them, but I'm not sure who should be pitied more - the mortals or the elves! I can't wait to read more!

Author Reply: They are an interesting bunch, that's for sure. As to who should be more pitied... I guess that remains to be seen. *grin*

Loved Daeron and Glorfi's comments about the twins and Jud's hair style,
a bit along the lines of "Don't even think abaht it!"(said with a strong New Jersey accent!) and "Not untill hell freezes over!"
Well the twins have made a really good first impression, lets hope Glorfi remembers how to put together one of their fathers tonics to help them get over the affects of too much beer, which must be strong stuff to put those two under the table!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: I had a time coming up with appropriate Sindarin and Quenya phrases that pretty much said just that. *LOL* And it's not that the beer was strong, because Glorfindel says it wasn't, but that they over-indulged on it. Something I think everyone who's been to college or has seen "Animal House" would appreciate. *grin*

Well they have made it to Northern Lights and seem to be settling in O.K.
I see Glorfindel still keeps the Twins on a tight rein, a good idea seeing the kind of trouble those two mischief makers could get into!
Interesting mix of room mates!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: The twins are a handful even at the best of times and Glorfindel has had a great deal of practice. I found the mix of roomies interesting also. We will see how they and the Elves deal with one another as time goes by.

Makes sense to me. Who better than Elves to be elves!
Somehow I don't see Glorfindel as owning a mini-van, he strikes me more as the jeep type!
Keep them coming,
Lynda

Author Reply: Well, with five companions I think the mini-van works better. *LOL* Glad you were finally able to read this, Lynda.

ROFL! The infamous verse 31! Well, Glorfindel was saved by the bell--or rather, fortuitous circumstance. I hope that Elladan and Elrohir manage to get to class on time in the morning, and I really don't envy them the hangover they are likely to have.

I was quite amused also by Daeron getting lost in the music and the "arcane language" of music line.

I like Matt and Lily (they do remind me of folks I know and like!). I'm reserving comment on Shane and the other mortal roomies until I see more of them.

Thanks again for a chapter that had me laughing out loud. :)

Author Reply: Hi, Rhyselle. Yes, the infamous verse 31! Saved by the Valar more likely. *LOL* Anyway, I am glad you like Matt and Lily and I hope eventually you come to like the other roomies as well. They all have their good points.

LOLOL! Oh my! This is an utterly hilarious bit of crack!

Elves learning to be elves, so they can pretend to be humans being elves! And the whole situation in the dorms...this is just too funny!

I look forward to more!

Author Reply: Hi, Dreamflower. I am so glad you are enjoying this and looking forward to more. When I came upon the articles about the Elf Academy I just knew that this would be a fun (and funny) story to write. Thanks for leaving a review. I really appreciate it.

*giggle* I really enjoyed this chapter.

It brought back some memories of my first attempt at college when I lived in a dorm (the second time around I was married with kids so that made me an automatic comumuter).

I rather think that Glorfindel's and the rest of the Elves' appearances might end up being a bit of a distraction when they are in class. I know that I would most definitely be distracted! LOL!

I look forward to the rest of this lovely Christmas present, one chapter at a time!

And I hope that your Thanksgiving Day was lovely, even if you didn't "celebrate" it the same way over where you are as you might here in the States. Bless!

Author Reply: Thanks, Rhyselle. I am glad to know you are enjoying this story and are looking forward to reading the rest. My Thanksgiving was spent cleaning stalls with Reinhilde. *LOL* But we had a nice dinner consisting of homemade pumpkin soup in which you cut up something that is like a very long and thin hotdog into the soup. This was followed by waffles with hot cherry sauce and whipped cream. Hmmmmm.... Hope your Thanksgiving was just as lovely.
