I see how the boys are proving helpful--and adding complications as well. Now--to get in and then out again! Author Reply: Yes, without any more complications! LBJ

I like Jibran very much--such a smart and spunky little boy. Will he play a part in future chapters as well? Author Reply: He is certainly around for a bit longer.LBJ

I really like the way the boys' rescue leads to solving one problem (how to signal the ships) and complicates the plot later with the addition of the rescue plans. That connection of events is very nicely done. Author Reply: Thanks. Its true that one event can have a marked effect upon another. LBJ

Hooray for a rescue mission. No wonder Captain Thorongil and his men were such heroes. Author Reply: Yes, it's quite fun playing with this as we don't know exactly what went on.LBJ

How quickly pity and mercy are rewarded! Imrahil will not kill a boy; he will not be as evil as his enemies - this when he still thought the boy might be one of those enemies. Instead, Jibran proves the key to sucess. As time runs short, he wouldn't have been able to take the fortifications. Gandalf said it once about Gollum - the pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many. It's equally applicable here. Author Reply: That's a good correlation, and Imrahil's mercy has other implications yet. LBJ

A nice, fairly neat win here! And I'm glad they're taking the boys. What a life to live! Wonderful victory--now to the next stage! Author Reply: Hi Larner, A few more wins needed yet. And more for the boys to do. Thanks for taking the time to review.LBJ

Wisdom indeed he shows, and a keen appreciation for the newly met captain as well as the locals. Now--to get in there and subdue the place in a hurry! Author Reply: That captain has a knack of inspiring appreciation, as we well know. LBJ

Finally--some time to read and comment! A wonderful first meeting, and love the thought here, too, that Thorongil might just prove a half-brother to Denethor--yes, an excellent reason for Denethor to distrust the man! Love the descriptions given, and the plan is wonderful! Now, to execute it! Author Reply: I thought that a believable scenario, glad you did. LBJ

A nice addition, I like the idea of the boy, I'm glad Imrahil is getting him and the others out, no one should be forced to live like that. May the stars shine upon you and your muse never desert! Author Reply: Jibran came from nowhere, but makes sure he cannot be ignored! The Muse disappears for a while sometimes but luckily the next few chapters are written.LBJ
