A Long-Expected Wedding  by Fiondil 14 Review(s)

O.K. Now, just what does Isildil have in mind, I am with Marilla in thinking that he should have been kicked out of the guild or at least demoted and put onb probation for a Yen or two!

I would have been surprised if Manwe or Irmo did not have a few Maia hanging about to help with the Re-born and I think oaths will always be a problem for some Re-born, high-born or not.

So Morwen was able to pull off the wedding garb, even on such short notice, I expect it was all hands to the embroidery frames, they not having access to computerised embroidery machines!

Waiting for the wedding!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We'll see in the next chapter what Isildil is up to and what his ultimate fate is, though that won't be known until the chapter after.

And I suspect that Meril had everyone helping Morwen with the embroidery day and night. *grin*

Thanks for the comments. I very much appreciate them.

You are evil! Now I'll have to wait another week to learn what the actual wedding garb looks like. *pouts*

Poor Nolofinwë! I'm not surprised that any kind of oaths ewoke really bad memories in him. The sons giggling through the rehearsal was fun, but I don't envy Anairë, even if she'll have some divine (or is that rather angelic?) help. Dealing with three Reborn, all three meaning so much for her and neither of them actually remembering her is going to be a nightmare.

Author Reply: Hi Soledad. *grin* Sorry about that but I felt the description of the wedding garb would be more appropriate when they are actually wearing it for the ceremony.

And Nolofinwë will need to work through his reluctance about oaths. And Anairë will learn to cope just like everyone else. I'm sure Arafinwë and Eärwen will help her as much as possible.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

Uh, oh, what is Isildil plotting? I nearly forgot about him... which is always a mistake. I just hope that he embarrasses himself more than Finrod and Amarie and that the Maia around make sure he can't pin it on his helpers.

So, Meril got to design and make the wedding finery in the end. Good!

It will be a memorable wedding. No matter if the ceremony itself goes over without a hitch. There already was so much upheaval before. And with all the Reborn around and Isildil plotting revenge... The Maia are no guarantee that everything works. They proved spectacularly incompetent on a number of incidents ;-).

Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. We'll see in the next chapter what Isildil is up to and it's never wise to forget any of my characters. They may go into hibernation, but if they are a loose end, I always bring the back and Isidil is a loose end.

Anyway, you're correct that it will be a memorable wedding whatever happens or doesn't happen. And I wouldn't blame the Maiar too much. Sometimes they are simply obeying orders and their hands are tied.

Anyway, thanks for commenting. I greatly appreciate it.

Nice chapter Fiondil, but now I've got that quesy feeling in my stomache. You know the one you get when you're at the top of the roller coaster right before you take the big "plunge".

Now that we've actually had 1/2 day without a major disaster, I'm waiting for the proverbial storm to hit ** snickers**

Let's hopoe Isidil behaves himself.

Author Reply: Hi Eliza. Glad you liked the chapter. As for the storm.... *snicker* Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it greatly.
