A Long-Expected Wedding  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)
SunnyReviewed Chapter: 31 on 1/4/2012
I was really only waiting for Findecáno to get a flashback as well. And knowing you and your sense of the dramatic, this was the right time for it too! ;-)
so Marillien unveiled herself. I am not surprised at this, and I also see that Arafinwë was quite unsurprised. but I suppose that with all the shenanigans going on in the royal kitchens, someone like her was needed to keep on top of it all, what with the royal wedding and all.
I really liked Glorfindel's answer to Námo's question. I am not at all surprised at his need to get in a few good punches... :-P
Nienna (and Marillien) will no doubt be able to get Isildil to give up his arrogance and superiority. He does seem like a hard case, though, so it may take some effort to get through that thick skull of his.
I see Anairë won't have much problems with dealing with Reborn! :-D
And lastly - Arafinwë, whyyy did you just provoke the Manwë and his questionable sense of humor????

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Someone was bound to have a flashback and Findecáno was the lucky ellon. *grin*

I thought Glorfindel's reply to Námo's question was pretty funny and so Glorfi.

Anairë obviously knows how to deal with elflings so if she just keeps that in mind she shouldn't have too much trouble with her 3 Reborn. *grin*

And Arafinwë really should know better, but as we will see, it really isn't his fault.

Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

Oh, of course all that uproar had to cause another flashback among the Reborns! Glad the Valar and Maiar arrived just in time to prevent serious harm. Somehow I doubt Námo would have appreciated it to have a few new inhabitants for his halls right now.

Hm, I think I like Námo's current dress much more than his usual. First, I love blue, and second, it's so much better than his usual black.

Ha, I knew it, Marilla was Marilliën! Glad that for *once* I guessed correctly :)

You know, I'm beginning to wonder if the Valar drew straws and who had the shortest one was going to have to deal with Glorfindel as an apprentice ;) Oh well, at least he got to release some of his pent-up anger.

I think it's good that Námo took over for a bit. That should make a lot more impression on certain people. As for the others ... Estelindo and the others should have left it to the guards, but it was still nice that they tried to catch Isildil for ruining the cake. Though the others in that mob don't really have any excuse for beating them all up then. I hope next time they think twice before doing something like that.

Yay, Isildil is out of a job! Good - I don't think it would work well. And I see you chose the punishment I thought about, too - let's see how he's doing at Nienna's kitchen. I hope she has him shrubbing pots for a good while longer. If the guild master can do it, then Isildil isn't above that, either! And I distinctly seem to remember princes do that sort of work out of their own free will, too.

LOL - the three Reborn made sure that boring meeting was taken care of, didn't they? Námo telling them to next time aim at Manwë left me laughing so hard - I could see these impressionable Reborns taking that advice to heart!

Grrr - did you have to end with such an ominous further cliffhanger even now??

Oh well, back to re-reading Elf Academy for the second time in two weeks. As we still have no snow to put me in the right mood for that story, now I'm trying it the other way around - maybe reading it can draw some snow over here!

Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Well, given the situation, it was inevitable that one of the Reborn would freak out. It just happened to be Fingon remembering the betrayal at the Battle of Unnumbered Tears. Luckily, the Valar were keeping watch so no one got seriously hurt.

I'm sure Nienna and Marilliën will do their best to rehabilitate Isildil. He may have to start all over again in the guild but that won't be a bad thing especially since he has all the ages of Arda to straighten out.

Glorfindel did warn the Valar that the 'children' were getting bored and restless. Of course, not the children everyone was thinking of. *grin*

We'll see what is happening outside the pavilion in the next (and final chapter). After that I'll be posting the sequel to Elf Academy. We've finally gotten some snow but if it warms up this weekend it'll probably disappear again.

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
