LOL--jealous of a dwarf! Very cute!!!

Author Reply: Hello Armariel,

*sniggers*

I know, it is a bit hilarious to think of Celeborn being jealous of Gimli, though methinks he was probably secure enough of the place he held in his wife's affections not to feel remotely threatened by Gimli's blatant admiration of Galadriel.

Still, I've often wondered if Gimli's obvious affection for his wife (and Galadriel's response to it) didn't perhaps rile the mighty elf lord - even if it was just a wee bit!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

Whew! Indeed, many people (and a brave horse) vanquished the plans of the Nazgul here.

Author Reply: Hello shirebound,

Amen to that! And thank goodness for that, too!

Hope you're feeling better, and thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

For some reason the term "hobbit-wraith" made me smile. It struck me as decidedly funny, though it not a funny matter at all. Never underestimate the resilience of hobbits, the swiftness of elven horses, and the powers of great elf-lords. :) Beautiful bit of interaction between two of my favorite characters.

Author Reply: Hello AzureSkye,

*hobbit-wraith* does sound rather amusing, doesn't it - even if it is still a serious matter.

Lucky for Frodo that his natural resistance, and Glorfindel and Elrond's (among others) timeous aid prevented us from ever finding out exactly how not funny it is!

Glad you enjoyed the drabble and thanks for R & R-ing,

Kara's Aunty ;)

Very suitable concerns for Barliman Butterbur.

Author Reply: Hello eiluj,

gosh, I always have to spell backwards when typing your name! Makes me go cross-eyed!!

*grins*

Barliman's a modest fellow, so he knew he wouldn't be able to do too much to help, though he definitely did what he could! And afterwards he probably went back to his normal everyday scatter-brained routine.

Bless him!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

Butterbur most definitely mention as an ally. Thanks for a good read

Author Reply: Hello UT frog,

you're very welcome! Thanks for R & R-ing Butterbur's modest wee drabble ;)

Good ol' Tom! What a treat to have another series from you, my dear! I love the way you have described Frodo's growing stronger as he sang.

I appreciate very much that you nominated 'Naked' but alas someone else beat you to it and your review (if you left one and I assume you did and I'm dying to know what you said) has been lost. Could I please beg the favor that you back to the MEFA site and look me up and leave another review? Le hannon!

Namarie, God bless, Your cheeky, vain and flattered bloom :)

Author Reply: Hello bloom,

luckily, I hadn't reviewed yet - I usually read, nominate immediately, then review at my leisure when the nomination season is over ;)

So no fears m'dear!

Glad you enjoyed the drabble,

Cousin M ;)

Lucky for them old Tom was nearby!

Yes, that's Tom's confidence, all right.

I'm wondering about the other eight. I can come up with ten possibilities. Butterbur might lose out. You might not want to use both Glorfindel and Elrond; Arwen is a dark horse. Would you include both Celeborn and Galadriel? How many of the Rohan royals?; I suppose there are ways to fit them all in a single scene. And what about the eagles?

I'm certain you'll include Faramir, but I don't expect to see his father. Or Imrahil, for that matter, though he gave Aragorn full support.

I don't expect to see Halbarad either -- but I may be wrong in how I'm interpreting "allies."

Hm -- would you perhaps consider Gollum an ally?

Okay: my final nine: Tom, Butterbur, Glorfindel, Elrond, Celeborn-and/or-Galadriel, Éomer, Faramir, Éowyn, Gwaihir.

Then you could do another nine: Gildor, Arwen, Haldir, Théoden, Denethor, Imrahil, Halbarad, Ioreth, Gollum. But that doesn't end well ... maybe move Arwen to the end (wedding scene).

Author Reply: Hello eiluj,

oh, don't you have a lot of possibilities! This review and your list made me grin hugely. You have many of those that will appear in 'Allies', but I won't spoil your fun by saying any more.

Or perhaps I should say I won't spoil my fun by telling you - because I'm enjoying the guessing game!

Glad you enjoyed Tom's drabble and thanks (very much) for R & R-ing - you really cheered me up before I went to work this morning!

Author Reply: P.S. - Gollum definitely won't go down as an ally, but good try!

It's great to read this scene from Tom's POV.

I'm reading all your drabbles, although I haven't been able to review too much (tendinitis is limiting my typing). These are wonderful little scenes.

Author Reply: Hello shirebound,

tendonitis, eh? Ouch. You're quite right to take it easy with the typing - don't want to make it worse, m'dear :(

It was a bit nerve-wracking writing a full drabble (hah! A measly one-hundred words) from Tom's pov because IMO he's so difficult to nail.

Which is probably why I'll never write him into anything than a drabble!

Take care of the wrist/hand/arm, and thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)
