| This does appear to be the logical order for them while sleeping together for warmth and comfort, after all. A beautiful chapter of warmth and healing all the way around. Now, to see the two ailing ones safely back into the Last Homely House and more comfort. Poor Aragorn--no wonder it would take so long for the Fellowship to depart in this situation. | |

| Love the running joke about Elrond's potion having a horrible taste. Finally, he listens to the complaints and does something about it *g*. Poor Aragorn, I think he will be horrified when he gets better and realizes how much of an audience he had in his sickness. | |

| Great! Help has finally arrived! And now that Aragorn has been seen to it is Frodo's turn. “You are many admirable things, Master Baggins, but *fine* is not one of them,” Elrond responded. Indeed, Master Elrond ;-) So I hope, both of them will be fine again and there will be time to talk about the words Aragorn said - and his last action towards Frodo. | Oh my! Those were really perilous situations - and both of them because of rabbits! On the other hand we are talking about hobbits ;-) But did Aragorn really mean what he said? Or was it just the fever? And where are Gandalf and Elrond? Author Reply: There was a situation after Frodo was stabbed (at least in my fic) that if Frodo finally was taken by the shard he would become a wraith. Tolkien even said this. He could not be allowed to succumb with the Ring in his possession or he would have no choice but to take it to Sauron. This would have been a last ditch, unwanted action by Aragorn or whoever Frodo was with at the time, that in order to prevent Frodo from taking the Ring to Sauron he would have to be killed in this life. Gandalf and Elrond are coming in the next chapter. So glad you are enjoying the fic. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! | |

| Both parties have known terror at this point. At least they are each now relatively safe. But the knowledge of what Aragorn had planned to do had he not been able to get Frodo to safety would indeed be a shock. Poor Frodo and Sam! Author Reply: thank God it wasn't necessary! Calvary is coming! | |
