The Honorary Hobbit  by lovethosehobbits 89 Review(s)

Nothing like a stubborn Baggins to see things done properly. And his own pain and weakness are hitting him now that Aragorn's safe. Glad they are now both sleeping.

Author Reply: Stubborn seems the very definition of both of our heros.

Good to see them working so well together. And glad they recognize that Frodo is in pain, too. Decided to continue reading and commenting here on this site. Hope you don't mind!

Author Reply: Why ever would I mind, silly? I am so glad you're continuing to read, and I love getting your reviews.

Oh dear, poor Aragorn! However it is almost a shame that he is unconscious and unaware of snuggly hobbit. *grin*

Author Reply: Ohhh...no fears, he will be mollycoddled to death and be in the same situation Frodo was at the beginning of this story.

Oh, dear! The hobbits are, of course, coping marvelously ... but I can't help but think we need some experienced elven healers. Soon. Lots of them. Including Elrond.

But in the meantime, yes, they need to get Aragorn into the nice dry cave. And let poor Frodo rest.

Then someone's going to have to go for help, probably Merry and Pippin. Frodo's in no condition to trek anywhere, and Sam will doubtless insist on staying with him.

I could speculate more, but I don't want to give you any nasty ideas -- you obviously have enough of them already (channeling Budgie).

Author Reply: The idea that I am channeling Budgie is the highest of compliments. Your notes on what needs to be done are already what I've planned (have you been peeking?) I am delighted you are enjoying the fic.

Oh, you really know what gets to me! I LOVE seeing hobbits take care of Big Folk, and I love seeing Frodo being a caregiver! It's so seldom we get the chance to see him being competent and in charge.

Poor Aragorn, though! He's going to be feeling dreadful when he wakes!

Author Reply: Such a pleasure to hear such a nice review from you, darling. I do so love injured Aragorn, angst, injured Frodo and it's high time we had Aragorn being tended isn't it? so glad you're enjoying it.

Oh, dear--and it was Aragorn who saw to it he was tossed to safety, and thus Aragorn who's been hit by the fallen branch, right? And Frodo perhaps has a cracked or broken rib?

LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 9/12/2011
Yes, I can so see that creative flair being part of Frodo's own pranks! Dear Frodo!

Yep. Evil Cliffie, right on schedule. (Fiendishly clever of you to lull us with the cliffie-less first chapter.)

I like the caves. Lots of possibilities there.

Author Reply: Gotta have a Cliffie right? So happy you are continuing to enjoy the fic.

Hobbits! Frodo-angst! Scenic Rivendell! Aragorn!

I don't know if I should wish for Evil Cliffies or not....

Definitely looking forward to this; I miss the Budgie days.

Author Reply: I crave the Budgie days and she is one of my favorite authors. I am an angst lover and h/c and usually have a few cliffies out there to keep everyone happy. I am delighted you are enjoying the fic and promise to have more soon.
