oh kewl! a new story...continuation of the previous short. yay!

poor aragorn, that stubborn ranger! i'm glad bowen was so adamant about helping him...we can't have our sweet dunedan falling down in the middle of the road from pneumonia!

Author Reply: Thanks, LisaG! No, we certainly can't have our Ranger dropping into a ditch too sick to go on and miles from help! Bowen to the rescue! *g* Hope you enjoy the story.

That stubborn Ranger!! Thank goodness that Bowen was even more stubborn than him ( and brave, too! ) :)

Author Reply: Hee! Yes, Bowen was brave to take on caring for such a wild-looking stranger, wasn't he! I wonder if I'd be that brave...

Hope you enjoy the entire tale!

Hmm, I think Strider may have met his match in stubbornness... Bowen will still have his work cut out for him with this one, though.

Looking forward to the rest of it:-)

Author Reply: Stubborn vs. Stubborner... which is which will be the question! Hope you enjoy the rest of the tale!

Oh, this is too wonderful and funny for words!

I'd have to say that Aragorn is just about the most stubborn man ever when it comes to matters of his health... but then, having to put up with mustard-and-onion plasters and Halbarad's stinging balm and those sorts of things WOULD give one pause...

I'm loving this look at Aragorn through a humble farmer's eyes... now I wonder what will his wife think of Aragorn? I'm betting she won't be one to disobey!

Author Reply: Thank you, Lily! I was hoping you'd get a chance to read this! I think you're right about Aragorn's stubbornness, but all the same, it really is asking too much of the poor man to be happy about a mustard plaster. *g* Poor Aragorn.

Hope you enjoy the rest!

I'm so glad you continued Bowen's story. He's is such a fully fleshed character and it is wonderful to view our ranger through his eyes.

This is an absolutely delightful story which, thanks to having being one of your very priviledged betas, I can confirm just gets better and better! Definitely not one to miss.

Author Reply: Ah, thank you, my dear... if it's a "don't miss", it's largely because of your help as always. :) I'm really glad you enjoyed reading it even as you had to do the techy-beta-y stuff! Now maybe you can sit back and just relax as you read it along with everyone else (or hit the back button to see the back of this story once and for all! LOL)

Thanks for the review and the help. :)

And, of course, there is the question of what Bowen's wife will be willing to put up with! Glad Aragorn's getting some decent nursing at last.

Author Reply: Thanks, Larner.... yes, Aragorn's finally met his match in stubborn kindness with Bowen, I think!

I feel for Bowen. He has no idea how stubborn Strider is.Can't wait for the next chapter.LOL Galathil

Author Reply: Thanks, galathil! No, he doesn't really know Strider's stubbornness, but then again... Strider doesn't know anything about Bowen's! *g* Glad you liked this--next chapter is up Friday morning. :)

Oh, a wonderful start to this story, Cairistiona!! I really enjoyed the interplay between the two of them; it was very well done. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author Reply: Thanks, Radbooks! So glad you liked the start of this one... a battle of wills, those two. *g* I hope you enjoy the entire story--as usual, I'll post 2 chapters a week and the next one comes up on Friday, where we'll see more battles of will, but this time between Halbarad and Denlad. Hmm, I'm sensing a trend...

Thanks for the review!

...guess what I just finished? *g*

And this was the perfect reward!! It cannot be stated enough how happy I am that you've expanded the tale of Bowen...you continue to create OCs that make me grin the entire time I'm reading them :D. Just like that.

Ooof, I can relate to Aragorn all to well in this chapter...clearly my summer illnesses are not far enough behind me, LOL.

I can't wait for more of this story!

Author Reply: Yay, you finished your thesis proposal!! *throws confetti*

And thank you, I'm very glad this turned out to be a fitting reward for your hard work! Grinning is good and I'm glad Bowen brings that to your face--I know he kinda does that to me too, I must confess. *g* (<-- See???)

Thanks again and hope you keep grinning throughout the rest of the story!
