Finally! The truth is revealed. I just want to know who Alex really is and how important he is for the Elves and their mission. I'll say that he took it very well; I could had fainted right there for sure.

Ah, I understand poor Alex and his frustration with Ambrose and his no-answers. Those elves are so cryptic.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. We'll find out soon enough about who Alex really is. And Elves love to be cryptic. You should know that by now. *grin*

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Atto!

So Emma's not here yet, she's been delayed. She's going to be here on Monday but probably only *after* I get to read and review the chapter. Anyway, I'll have the weekend to clean up things more around here and also to mull over what Alex/Artemus just learned.

(You know, how about "Alex Gordon" for a name if he wants to go into hiding? He could drop both the rather distinctive parts of his real name, lol. Gordon could be a surname as well as a first or middle name. Or he could just be Alex Gordon Grant, perhaps. :) What do you think, Atto?)

A descendant of Beren and Luthien through Arwen's line? Heh, that makes them Uncle Roy and Uncle Dan, now. *smirks* On rather the same level as Estel could have called Elrond "Uncle Elrond" (and in fact, when I've written Valandil of Arnor as a young boy, he *does* refer to ELrond as "Uncle".) I wonder what Alex (or Gordon, as he doesn't like Artemus) thinks of having two new uncles?

Wow, you're right about Daeron...I'd *completely* forgotten that about him. I'm so glad the Twins forgave him!

And now I know how old Serinde really is. Wow, is that hard to fathom...Aww, Amroth tucked Alex into bed after he was put to sleep. That's sweet. Waiting eagerly for Monday to see if Shane's Mum the Balrog shows up again! Not to mention the idiot from the Agency who thinks he's so hot, messing with poor Alex. *kicks him*

Tye-melin!

Kaylee

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. You're very quick on the mark. You got Alex's relationship to Elladan and Elrohir correct and that will come up in a later chapter. Very good. *grin*

And I suspect a lot of people either have forgotten or don't know about Daeron's involvement with Lúthien and Beren and the role he played in their story. As Elrohir tells him, it's ancient history and Daeron has paid for what he did in ways Alex can't comprehend so there's nothing to forgive.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, yendenya. Tye-melin.

Hm, Arwen's line eh!?

Interesting concept, oh for a Time Machine! Makes you wonder who Alex' parents are!

That lullaby would be handy to know, Oo! Oo! here's a thought, have the Elves teach it to Shane, then she can shut her mother up when she gets too annoying!

You are spawning Plot Bunnies right, left and center.

Chasing off hair eating goats.

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: LOL! that's too funny, Lynda. I don't think it works if a Mortal sings it, though. Shane would need one of the Elves to come over and sing it for her.

Anyway, enjoy your time with the goats and thanks for reading and reviewing. It's much appreciated.

It does appear that he's indeed of Dunedain blood, and quite strongly at that. Alas that he must feel conflicted over his full realization of who and what they are. And unfair to pull Namo's lullaby on him! Heh!

Channeling Beren? Heh! You never know how many times a soul might have been around!

Author Reply: It'll take Alex a bit of time to come to terms with what he's learned and there are still some surprises in store for him and the Elves concerning his ancestry as we will see over the next few chapters.

I don't believe in reincarnation, myself, though I do believe in racial memory and that's more what Alex is experiencing.

Thanks for commenting, Larner. It's much appreciated.

Great way to start a morning. I think Alex's reactions were very normal given the amount of pure shock. I am eagerly waiting Monday. Thanks you so much.

Author Reply: Hi UTFrog. I'm glad you think Alex's reactions normal given the circumstances. We'll see how he reacts once he's had time to get used to the ideas of real Elves. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate it very much.

Hooo! The Big Reveal!!

I can understand Alex being worried - the last time he blacked out like that, he woke up on the floor, held down by four of the elves, with the room's furniture in a shambles and with bruises in a number of places.

So it was the singing that had that effect - but the _first_ time Alex heard Daeron sing, he had the normal reaction to it - but that was _before_ he had his little meeting with Námo. I would guess that dying definitely had its effect on him! It will be interesting to see what other effects that experience will have.
I guess Alex will decide to keep the secret of the elves - or else there would not have been much of a story. ;-) but it is definitely going to change the dynamics between him and them - and certainly his attitude in class is likely to be different!

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. We will learn a bit more later on why Alex was affected as deeply as he was this time around compared to when he heard Daeron singing before. And you are correct that his near-death experience is a part of it.

And if Alex didn't keep the secret, there would indeed be no more story, or not much of it, but the story is far from over and even with Alex on the Elves' side, there is much that has yet to be resolved. And we'll see how is attitude changes as well.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.
