Elf Academy Part Deux  by Fiondil 13 Review(s)
6336Reviewed Chapter: 60 on 8/13/2012
Why do I have this strong urge to Gibbs Smack a certain Elf? The first thing Larry has to learn is to keep his mouth shut, he is their to observe not be observed.

I think both Della and Amroth need to be well away from Wiseman until they have Ratty sorted out, that Alex has not heard from Matty is disturbing. Della needs to find some pretty Hatching Jackets, if she is anything like my daughter she is going to be bigger than a whale by the time she delivers! Anything that helps to disguise the bump and makes her feel comfortable is essential.

Seems to me Findalure has never had to 'do' for himself, I wonder if Atto ever took him camping and had him help with all the work that is involved?

Something tells me somebody is a picky eater going by the remark Larry made!

Well now to go find apartmentrs for the influx of Elves and see how the 'Pilot Program' goes, I can see rough waters ahead, espiecially with Big Mouth Larry along!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. I'm afraid Findalaurë is too much the noble and who knows what kind of an environment he grew up in? I suspect one of the reasons Finrod brought him and not his other children was to teach him about independence without servants doing everything for him. We'll see how things go with these three and the other Valinórean Elves as the story progreses. Thanks for leaving a comment. You know I always appreciate your observations.

Oh, dear, but they are off to a fine start, aren't they? Not knowing what language to use, what country to blame for these three, and so on? And some of the students are bound to catch on to the fact these three are somehow related to the Elves who are running the academy.

I caught the allusions to Newhart right off, and was giggling from the beginning. Yeah, I do think Laurence fits Findelaure better than Larry, too. Now, to begin to accept the more egalitarian society in which they find themselves.

Author Reply: A fine start, indeed, Larner. *LOL!* I loved Larry, Daryl and Daryl in Newhart. They always broke me up, so it was natural for me to make a reference to them in this context. Thanks for commenting. It's greatly appreciated.

Well the fun certainly begins for the 5 students. They should have discussed background stories while they were deciding names. Lawrence is determined to be difficult, but there may be hope for the others. Sorry we cannot have pictures of the faces of the Wiseman citizens when they see the new elves.

Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. Yes, the fun begins and you're right, they should have discussed background stories more fully. We'll see how that goes in the next chapter. And pictures would be nice, wouldn't they? *grin*

Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.
