Elf Academy Part Deux  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)
KittyReviewed Chapter: 83 on 2/3/2013
Good of Judge Harrison to tell Amroth not to say anything. We all know he killed Bradford, but it's better he doesn't admit it openly. As they said, there is no proof.

Love the idea of calling Maddy as a witness. Not what she wanted, but serves her right. There are some things that I hope get out.

Now, Námo's entrance was a surprise; hadn't expected him to show up during the trial, and even less to say what he did. Not that I am complaining, mind you!

The rest was interesting. So there are people at the Agency who are playing dirty and trying to deceive their Deputy Director, too? Her explanations how she tried to find out what actually happened left me less angry with Maddy. Seems it was not just disinterest or neglect of duty on her side. That Agency needs a clean-up, from the looks of it.

Author Reply: Tell you the truth, Kitty, I didn't expect Námo to show up as he did, either, but he's a law unto himself and I'm not stupid enough to tell him no. LOL! And you're right, the Agency does need a thorough spring cleaning but it's not going to happen overnight, unfortunately. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's very much appreciated.

Interesting. I was just wondering if Eonwe would appear with his book when lo and behold, there he was. If I were Farrell, I'd be shaking in my shoes. But, that will never happen. He's to arrogant. I don't think he realizes how much trouble he is in.

Author Reply: If I were Farrell, I would be shaking in my shoes, too, but I don't think he realizes just what is happening around him. As you say, he's too arrogant. Thanks for reviewing, Tari. It's much appreciated.

About time we get to the nitty-gritty here. Am glad Eonwe was there for Maddy's sake, and that she was willing to be truthful about how she learned things were going. And I'm proud of her for her honesty and her determination to find out just what was going on and why.

Author Reply: Apparently Eönwë decided not to trust anyone else with the mission of keeping an eye on the Agency and helping Maddy fight the forces of evil there, though she was unaware of his presence. Perhaps now she'll be even more willing to fight the good fight knowing she has allies even if she can't see them. Thanks for reviewing, Larner. I appreciate it very much.

I loved the 'behind-the-scenes' look at the 'agency.' Sad indeed. Maddy is in deep trouble if the higher ups are doing things behind her back.

The trial has been great. Waiting for more.

Author Reply: Very sad, Agape. Hopefully Maddy will be able to salvage something out of the entire mess. We'll see what further actions she takes. Glad you are enjoying the trial. It's not over yet. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Nate, Nate, Nate, I loved it when Namo put the fear of Eru into all of the doubters in the audience. Namo revealing his true form should shut down all of the doubting Thomases in Wiseman... LOL

Great Chapter as ALWAYS...

Author Reply: I think Nate/Námo is having too much fun here. LOL! Hopefully the Doubting Thomases of Wiseman will doubt no longer. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, Calenlassiel. Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

I wish all court cases were just as interesting as this one. There is drama for sure, but some truth is finally coming out. I wonder if Mrs. Dunlap was tampering with Maddy's incoming mail and such to keep her in the dark. She has certainly been there long enough. Especially if Maddy was trying to figure out what was going on around her office and trying to figure out who she can trust. It would seem some people are not who they say they are within the agency.

With Namo and Eonwe now somewhat participating in the court proceedings, things are going to get pretty interesting. I have a feeling Farrell and the other agents are going to get a taste of Namo's type of chastising.

Thanks for the cliff hanger. I enjoy taking guesses about what's going to happen next.

Author Reply: Hi Clouded Leopard. That's a very interesting theory about Mrs. Dunlap. You have to watch out for those grandmas baking cookies. They're a dangerous lot. LOL! I actually have no real idea who in the agency might be trying to keep Maddy in the dark. Perhaps someday if I write the next sequel and Maddy is in it we'll find out.

And with Námo and Eönwë in court now, things will get very interesting indeed. I'm glad you don't mind the cliffhangers. I don't do them to be mean, the way most readers seem to think, but to keep people interested and wondering what's going to happen next. I am afraid most readers today never experienced the old movie and TV serial in which each episode ended with a cliffhanger. That was part of the fun of watching them.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate it very much.

There is one advantage to the storm. My Company is closed, and I can read the chapter on Monday instead of waiting.

*Grrr* Another cliffhanger just as it starts to get to the point I really want to know. Although, this chapter has plenty of interesting things in it. I got my wish for Lord Namo to pay a visit. I loved the idea to have Maddy bear testimonial. The people of Wiseman get quite a show.

Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Sorry for the cliffie, but it couldn't be helped. It's the last one, though. I promise. You're right that the people of Wiseman are getting quite a show and it'll be the talk of the town for days, weeks and months to come.

Thanks for reviewing and stay safe.

Thanks for posting my elf fix to get me through the day with Sandy leaving wind and rain in my area. Take care!

Author Reply: You're welcome, Idril. Hope you are taking care as well. I will post the next chapter on Friday assuming we have power or as soon as I can once power comes back on.

Evil Cliffee King Strikes Again! Forces Readers to Wait Until Friday!

Headline's from Monday's Edition of the Valinor Voice.

Readers of Lord Fiondil's latest work, Elf Academy Part Deux, were again frustrated by his Muses Love of 'Cliffees'! This entertaing tale of Edhel taking over an Edain school to help train them for the Dagor Dagorath has many people here waiting anxiously for Monday's and Friday's installments, talk on the street, on these days at least, centers around his latest chapter and his Muses penchant for Cliff Hangers!

'We're getting to the interesting part, can't wait to see what Mr. Farrell has to say!' comments Morofindel, an Inn keeper here in Tirion, 'I have to purchase extra copies of the paper on Mondays and Fridays, some of them seem to 'go missing' on those days, I can't think why!'

' I am so enjoying this story, it is intereesting to see how the Edain handle things and how they live, it is so differant to how things are done here' from Mistress Serinde, a seamstress from Eldamass, visiting here in Tirion, 'I am particularly interested in the clothing styles of the Edain and Lord Fiondil is so good at giving us descriptions of what they are wearing.'

Anyone interested in reading this story in its entirety may purchase back copies from the publisher.

Nelliel, of Tirion.

Found this while walking the cat!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: ROTFLMAO!! Oh, Lynda, you're too wicked by half. This definitely made my day. Thanks. Glad you liked the chapter in spite of the cliffie. Lots of hugs.

You picked another awful cliffhanger but it was at a reasonable place. I got even more than I had hoped for with both Lord Namo and Eowne appearing. I love Tom's question and answer. I sure hope some of the religious leaders who were scornful of the elves were present at the trial. I am glad Maddy at least tried, mostly to do the right thing. This was a fantastic chapter.

For other readers who live in the northeastern US, my prayers are with you. I live in Central Virginia where we are expecting heavy rain and wind, but nothing like the coast already got.

Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. Well, the chapter would've been way too long otherwise. I have no doubt ALL of the religious leaders are there. No one in Wiseman is going to miss this show if they can possibly help it. *grin* And I'm glad you found this to be a fantastic chapter. I love writing Elvish court scenes. They're a lot of fun and you never know who will drop in to give testimony. LOL!

And thanks for the prayers. My area of central New York is just expecting heavy rain and wind as well, but who can say? Storms are very unpredictable. Anyway, thanks for commenting. I appreciate you doing so. Stay safe.
