Author Reply: The riders think that Gliwen is Lothiriel in disguise, which is correct of course. It's funny really that they are quite right, unlike their better informed king. | |

| Who is doing the digging now? Eomer is not better than Lothiriel. These two are already caught in their own web. | The web gets more and more tangled. Lothiriel never stands a chance. She is falling for Eomer and he for her. They both seem to have an "official" and an "unofficial" persona. | Oh, no. Now Eomer helps in creating 2 Lothiriels, although he doesn't know it yet. The plot gets more and more involved. I think in the end nobody can disentangle it anymore. All are involved in either creating more twists or abetting preposterous ideas. Imrahil and, it seems especially, Elphir will throw a fit when they find out. I think Elphir needs a lesson. Letting a friend speak about Lothiriel (and women in general) like that without telling him to take a hike. Author Reply: I actually had some problems myself keeping the plot straight in my mind at all times, it got so convoluted. As for Elphir, he's in for a set-down by Eomer, but you might have reached that bit by now. One of those scenes that are a pleasure to write. Lia | |

| This chapter made me laugh. The plan gets more and more preposterous. Lothiriel digs herself deeper and deeper into a hole. It doesn't help that she finds willing helpers. The hole just gets deeper. And garlic to drive Eomer away? A good thought if he never eats garlic. But I have the suspicion that garlic is commonly used in Dol Amroth, and then it doesn't work... Author Reply: She doesn't just dig, she digs with a plan in mind, that's even more dangerous ;-D And what you said about the garlic suddenly made me wonder if it would work against nazgūls (the equivalent of vampires in Middle Earth?). | Finally, I have time to start reading this story. Eomer and forgetting that kiss? Yeah, right, dream on. Lothiriel is setting herself up for a deep fall. And this time she has co-conspirators. I don't think Lothiriel's plan will work, but that is the whole point of this story;-). I love to see how you make her wind and struggle, to get out of this fix. You are of course right that Lothiriel has made a bit of a misjudgement there concerning the memorability of her kiss - but then she lacks practise (at the moment...). Lia | |
