Imrahil's Daughters  by Lialathuveril 103 Review(s)
Agape4GondorReviewed Chapter: 4 on 10/4/2012
Oh dear oh dear. She is really messing things up, isn't she? And she is involving others in the mess, too. Shees!

As for Eomer - court politics can be horrid. I know he'll be able to overcome his loathing of Gondorian 'small talk' but I hope he can see Lothiriel for what she is.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Psst - I like the character Gliwen!

Author Reply: Hello Agape,
a lot of 'oh dears' in there - and I'm afraid it will only get worse, for Lothiriel hasn't finished with digging yet. As for Gliwen, in many ways she's more real than the Lothiriel Eomer has met so far. Glad to hear you like her!

Hi Lialathuveril,OH Boy! Me thinks that a certain princess, is digging herself into a deeper and deeper hole. Can.t wait to see how Imrahil reacts, when he finds out whats has being going on.Especially when he finds out that his son and sister where also in on it. Won't even touch a certain King of a certain country
when he finds out he!he! Can't wait for the next chapter. LOL Galathil

Author Reply: Hi Galathil,
she's digging most diligently, isn't she! And her nearest and dearest are doing their best to help her ;-) However, I think there will be a few more plot twists before the truth will out.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when she tells Aunt Ivrinial and Amrothos what she's gotten herself into now! Dear oh dear...

Author Reply: Hi Lyana,
you'll actually get a chance to be that fly in the next chapter... Poor Amrothos!

And she weaves herself more and more deeply into his awareness, whether she realizes it or not--and he wants her for herself, not for this persona she's trying to project this night! She ought to have fun at the celebrations in town.

Author Reply: Hello Larner,
I'm hoping that my readers will also have fun at the celebrations in town - there should be some culinary delights coming up ;-)

Thanks for reading and reviewing

Oh I just love how she thinks of Gilwen as a separate entity. She's in trouble now.

Great chapter.

Author Reply: It's always easier to blame somebody else - even if that somebody is only imaginary ;-)

Well, she's in trouble now!

I love the details of Rohan vs. Gondor that you put in this chapter. It is quite delightful. Especially the cost of the dress. Nicely done!

Author Reply: I always enjoy playing with the cultural differences between Rohan and Gondor, glad to hear you liked that. And the silk will actually make a come-back in a later chapter.

If wishes were kisses. *g*

My motto has always been honesty first. I have seen the ravages of lying. It always comes back and kicks the liar in the behind.

I'm proud of Amrothos. He's a good brother.

Well, on to see what happens next.

Author Reply: Honesty first has always been my motto, too. Even if it hurts in the short term, in the long run it's the only way to live with yourself. However, that's a lesson that Lothiriel still has to learn. I have to admit though that I like to see her wriggle!

A very interesting and riveting beginning. I'm looking forward to more.

And - I am very glad there was a knock on the door. I'd hate to see Eomer's relationship with Lothiriel ruined by a lack of restraint on both their parts.

Emotions were well written.

Author Reply: Hello Agape,
you've been busy reading - thanks for the reviews! And on hindsight, Eomer will probably be glad of the interruption too, even if he didn't appreciate it at the time ;-)

*shakes head* Oh, Lothiriel! You just don't know when to stop, do you girl? The first rule of holes? STOP DIGGING! Not that I'd wish ill on anyone, but watching her schemes unravel is going to be tremendously amusing. :-) (I've been re-reading your other stories posted here - looking forward to what you come up with this time!) Poor Amrothos - and is it too much to hope that Aunt Ivriniel might find some happiness too?

Author Reply: Hello Lyana,
I think the 'stop digging' is a lesson that Lothiriel still has to learn. But as you said, it's more fun for us this way. As for Amrothos, somebody else remarked that he's the lone voice of sanity in this scene, which is kind of funny considering how I usually depict him! And don't fear, I've got plans for Auntie Ivriniel.

Thanks for reviewing!
