Those poor hobbits could certainly have used a can of insect repellent, couldn't they? I would hate to be plagued by midges! I find mosquitoes and gnats annoying enough, as it is. Author Reply: I'm sure if Sam had known they would have needed it, he'd have brought something to relieve the itch!

Those ants really infested Bag End, didn't they? Thanks to Pippin's not-so-little prank! (Though, in this case, I can't say I blame him!) Author Reply: Oh, Pippin was really ticked off at the S-Bs after they came in early to "tour" Bag End again, and insulted Frodo! No way he'd not get back at them before he left!

A story as delicate and tasty as the cake that appears in it. :) Interior decorating in post-war Middle-earth must have been a real challenge. It's just as well that the hobbits have plenty of money to rise to it! Author Reply: In this AU, it was always Pippin's desire to top the guest room Bilbo built for Gandalf, with a whole wing of the hole dedicated to Big Folk visitors!

Loved this sweet story with the interactions between King and Queen and their beloved hobbits. Loved the story of Frodo and his stuffed mushrooms too. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: One of my Frodo's culinary specialties was stuffed mushrooms! They made their earliest appearances in "Frodo's Cooking Lessons"!

Aragorn gave a roguish grin. "There were no rules set down," he said, "so I do not suppose cheating even comes into it." That is true! Aragorn and Arwen found a very clever way to obtain all the information they needed. And I am quite sure they learned many other interesting things about the four hobbits in their conversations ;-) Author Reply: Of course they did! But they did forfeit the second part: to say which they liked best!

Perfect! And they did manage to get away with not putting anyone first, didn't they? Heh! Love the recipe, of course. Author Reply: I'm not sure they "got away" without saying whose was best; I'm sure the hobbits will tease their King and Queen about failing to answer!

LOL! Sneaky Aragorn and Arwen, managing to get out of telling the hobbits which dish they liked best. =) Author Reply: Well, they thought they gid!

Sorry it took so long to get this sweet and wonderful story! Great souls indeed, and those who recognized such were themselves great too. Love it. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Sorry for not replying sooner! I'm glad you enjoyed this story.

Sweet! I think they would have liked such an instrument :) Nsmarie, God bless, Antsne :) Author Reply: I'm quite sure that Pippin most certainly would have!

Great story! I think Faramir found the perfect birthday gift for his father. And I am sure that that Pippin's "dring" will not remain the only one in the Shire - there will be at least one more ;-) Happy belated birthday to you! Author Reply: Well, this reply is over a year late, but thank you very much! I can imagine that there will be more over time! (I missed several reviews at the time.)
