The Journey Home  by Fiondil 13 Review(s)

I have no real answers for you, my friend, except to say you have thirty other people who are willing to help you if you would let them. You do not have to do this on your own.

So true. Could Frodo have made it to the Cracks of Doom without the Fellowship? Could Beren have accomplished so much without Huan and Luthien? And now a new and harder task is set before Maglor -- to forgive himself. What a wonderful story.

Author Reply: I'm glad you think this is a wonderful story, Shirebound. I wasn't sure when I started posted it (or even as I was writing it) if anyone would like it.

Forgiving oneself is the hardest thing to do, but necessary. Hopefully, Maglor will eventually forgive himself for just being Maglor, if nothing else.

Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I very much appreciate it.

Great chapter. I knew winter was going to be tough. Poor Maglor with those awful dreams. I doubt he ever had friends who care for him as much as his current friends care. They are trying so hard to help. May Maglor understand and respond. Thanks as always.

Author Reply: I doubt it, too, UTfrog. It's good that he has such sympathetic friends and hopefully Maglor will see them as such and not as his "gaolors". Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Wow! Master Elrond must be truly wise indeed! But he did have all the time in the world, not to mention his heritagr and experiences, to accumulate such lore and wisdom.

I am sorry that the Silmaril is now haunting Maglor again. I hope he will be able to work it out for himself. Its good that he has a loving and understanding support group, especially Gloredhel and Arthalion who is almost like a foster son to him. I'm alsonglad he has a wise leader in Denethor.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Have a good weekend!

Author Reply: Hi Celeth. Maglor really needs to address the Silmaril and his Oath before he can hope to leave Middle-earth and return home to Aman. I don't think the Valar will allow him to come otherwise. Luckily, Maglor has many friends who love and support him and he will find a way as we will see.

Have a great weekend, yourself, and thanks for reviewing. It's greatly appreciated.
