The Journey Home  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)

For the last few chapters (about from the time they arrived in Valinor):

I think the worst problem is the cultural shock, the Harthadrim are democratic and independent and now they are thrown into a world full of royalty and social differences. It must be hard to see how differently the people live, for example.

It's nice that Maglor has at least one brother alive. I can just imagine Maedhros running around and showing others that he has a hand! Maglor has been a bit self-centered lately, it's good that someone finally pointed it out.

Oh, and happy Midsummer (even if it is not celebrated where you live)!

Author Reply: Hi someone. Yes, the culture shock for them all has to be very upsetting and it will take them some time to adjust to their new surroundings. And all of Maglor's brothers are alive, though Finrod only mentions Maedhros. Maglor has been thinking more about himself and his own problems than about others, but it's understandable under the circumstances.

Happy Midsummer to you as well. Thanks for reviewing. It's greatly appreciated.

“He was very happy to find his hand restored to him when he was re-embodied. Kept running around Lórien shoving his hand into people’s faces and waving it at them.

What a delightful detail. :)

I'm very glad that Olórin is part of the story.

Author Reply: I couldn't resist putting that in about Maedhros. *grin* It is a very delightful detail.

And Olórin just seems to pop up when you least expect him.

Thanks for reviewing, Shirebound. I really appreciate it.
