In the High King's Secret Service  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)

Wow! That was intense. I am afraid Ingwe may have done more harm than good with his treatment of Finwe, but Ingwe had few choices and plenty of reason to be angry. I love the way you are making Feanor the jerk he turns out to be, even as a youngster. Really good morning read. Thank you.

Author Reply: You're probably right about that, UTfrog, and of course, if you were to re-read my story "In Darkness Bound" where Fëanáro is being crowned and the way he treats Ingwë, we see the seed of that here. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I didn't think that it would be possible to feel even more sorry for Valandur, but I was wrong. Luckily Herencáno did have those papers, but would they have helped if Ingwë hadn't been there? Somehow it seems that they would have been ignored. I'm quite disappointed that Finwë was ready to convict Valandur without evidence and proper trial, just because he loves Findis.

Valandur needs now some peace and quiet (and a trip home, far away from politics).

Author Reply: Hi someone. It is a good thing Ingwë was there to oversee the so-called enquiry and get to the truth of the matter. And I suspect Finwë was influenced in part by Fëanáro in this. As for Valandur, we'll see how he fares after this. Trust me, this story is far from over. Thanks for reviewing. It's very much appreciated.
