Elf Academy 3: The Enemy Within  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)
LegolinReviewed Chapter: 15 on 2/17/2014
This chapter for all its seriousness, was hilarious. I cannot get over this line:

“But you’re not having orgies every night, are you?” Derek asked, his expression deadpan. “Of course, who knows what you really do in those woods behind the house… at night… without any of us Mortals about.”

I think I about died in my seat. Tears were welling in my eyes from repressing my emotion. Knowing what I do of Elven relationships and how that would never happen made it all the funnier. Of course the sailor reference was comical as well.

I cannot wait till Friday morning to see what happens next!

Author Reply: Hey Lin. Derek is pretty funny here for all that the conversation is very serious. And of course, knowing how it is with Elves, it does make his statement even funnier. Friday's chapter should prove interesting as well. Glad you enjoyed today's chapter. Thanks for leaving a review. It's greatly appreciated.

Wow, am I first again? Cool!

Well, well, well, this was an interesting situation. I'm surprised that Erestor would turn out such an ignorant fool - he ought to have learned in Imladris that Mortals must be taken seriously. Or is it generally the climate of Valinor that lobotomizes the Elves who live there, no matter for how long?

Derek is growin on me constantly. I hope he won't have a session with "that Námo dude" any time, soon - it would make him a lot less cheerful for a while.

So, Fionwë survived his own chewing-out session and is back, eh? Good to see it. By the way, the conversation of those two men was hilarious. *g*

Author Reply: Hi Soledad. I suspect you're right about the general climate of Valinor lobotomizing the Elves there, even someone like Erestor.

Derek is lots of fun. It's interesting that characters like him and Vorondur, who start out as walk-ons (in my mind), end up becoming main characters. I'm sure he's safe from a chat with Námo for a while. *grin*

Yes, Fionwë is still around. Glad you found the conversation between the two men at the bar hilarious, as it was meant to be.

Thanks for reviewing (and being the first this time around! LOL!). I appreciate it very much.
