Trust Merry to be watching out for Pippin's interests primarily. Hopefully he is reassured by what he sees.

Author Reply: He's a bit of a mother hen where his "baby" cousin is concerned. Estella does a lot to set him straight.

Good enough! Glad she admits her own faults and is willing to beg his pardon. Bless them both!

Author Reply: They've been through the worst and now, hopefully, there are only good things in they're future. Thanks for all the new encouragement.

Oh, my!

I keep intending to come back to SoA and spend hours reading (and other hours writing and posting...), but I keep getting derailed by work and life. Still, I finished working at 2 a.m. (just now) and could not resist a peek - and here I find a treasure! Only recently, I was thinking about your Pippin and Diamond, and now, here they are on the first page at SoA, so conveniently inviting me to come again and read at my leisure.

I think I know what I'm going to do on my day off, a couple days from now...

Blessings and best wishes to you.
Lin

Author Reply: Thanks for the welcome back. I hope, if you got a chance to read it, you enjoyed revisiting what I have finished at least. I'm trying to get reacquainted with all the characters and see if they can tell me where in the heck we were going in the first place.:)

A year past the last review in the previous chapter. Yes, some of us still come back and visit your stories! I completely understand that terrible entity Real Life and its tendency to get in the way of visits to the Shire! Just know that any time Pippin and Diamond are willing to tell a bit more of their story, I will be glad to read it!

I've just caught up this story and series. I'm not generally a big fan of hobit stories but this one really is well done. I like how you've built the relationship back and also brought the new children in so effectively. Of course you've left us with a tremendous cliffhanger and I do hope that you carry this forward at some point soon. Thanks for your hard work on this series so far.

Author Reply: Thank you for the kind words. I really do want to get back to this story and finish it at some point. I still have a long way to go on it. Unfortunately, the next chapter was only saved on the hard drive of my old iMac which was stolen in 2015. Since then I have gotten a new computer, moved house, got married and changed jobs. I have been wanting for months to start writing again but I need to go back and recreate my information for events in this story. Hearing that someone is still reading and is interested in the outcome makes me feel more motivated to work on it.

Thank you again for reading and for the extremely kind words.

Children do grow up so fast. I was warned about it, as a young mum, but even so I was taken by surprise at the cessation of lap-sitting and bedtime stories and make-believe tea parties... Diamond is luckier by far than she knows.

Author Reply: Yes, she is.

I must confess that my daughter did sit on my lap and cry a few time in her teens. I do miss some things about this younger days.

Thanks for taking some of you scarse time to review. I really do appreciate it

How terrible to have to possibly face war again, and so far from his family and all he loves. At least he knows they are likely in good hands.

Author Reply: They are definitely in good hands and I'm hoping that things are not as dire as the King fears. He's being cautious because Sauron's former followers can truly be ruthless.

Thanks for the review. Hoping things continue to be entertaining.

I be good, came the reply in his mind. I know it be all right. Nana is sad. I make her smile for you.

*melts* I adore Sapphire!

This is an exciting and unexpected chapter. Dear Pippin, this is exactly the resolve and courage he would show in such a circumstance.

Author Reply: Glad you're loving Sassy. She is a sweety.

Yeah, this thought occurred to me a few weeks ago and had to run with it. I'm not quite sure how it's going to go but we'll all find out together.

Thanks for the review.

A happy Yule indeed, and an ominous beginning to a new year. They will be attending upon the King, will they? Hurrah!

Author Reply: Things could get interesting.

You know, I didn't even think about posting a Yule chapter on New Year's Day until I'd posted it. :)

Thanks for the review. I find them very encouraging.

Uh-oh! A small cliffie! Is the King calling up his Knight?

I loved the journey and the visit--such a nice holiday for them all.

Author Reply: Could be. (Grins evilly)

Glad you liked it. i felt that I kind of skipped a lot but I really wanted to move on to the next major moment in the story. Hopefully, I can write a little faster now. I need to stay ahead of my ffnet posting schedule and I'm possibly going to have an interruption in using the computer after I have eye surgery.

Thanks for reading a encouraging me.
