Glorfindel losing time has become even more obvious, magically appearing/disappearing impossible bridges, I'm starting to think I've wandered into another fandom with all the wibbley-wobbly, timely-wimey going on here. Yes, yes, I know. Spoilers! Sounds like our Alien Overlords are once again making reality their plaything (because what are time and space to the Timeless?). Things are getting very interesting indeed. Please forgive the distinctly Whovian phrasing, I could not resist!

The landscape he describes is so vivid, it's apparent he had seen and studied this and that it made an impact; enough that he wanted to build it into one of his stories. I love the white hart and the hidden door - a long-established practice used by those with the knowledge. Then he took pity on his characters and readers both by throwing in the mundane, like lunch at A&W, to pull us all out of the supernatural and back into the norm. How very like him. Once again, thank you so much for posting these. It helps me to hear his voice in my head once again.

The brothers told quite a story. Appears the Valar continue to be very long range planners. I would love the visit the Lake Placid area. It sounds beautiful.
