| ah-ha, let's file this under "be careful what you ask for". It also reminds me of one of my favorite holiday movies, lol it's a wonderful life. Celebrian makes me sad in a way, she seems to be an example of a mom who is so terrified of something happening to her kids that she tries to hold on super tight, only to find out that not only does that not work but it usually ends up pushing the very people you're trying to protect away much quicker. Here's hoping her little dream helps her see the forest for the trees before she loses every thing. Author Reply: exactly, you have to let go when you want someone to come back. | I'm finally able to catch up with your story now that my cross-country move is complete. What a difficult time for this family! And poor Glorfindel. I hope he's able to find healing. | Elrond and Celebrian seem to be reconciled, but for how long? She seems to have transferred her anger to Glorfindel - more angst. Lai, how will Elrond resolve this little dilemma? Author Reply: Elrond will not appreciate what Celebrian had done and the clashing will come very soon. What options does he have anyway? Celebrķan has to put in place. Her behavior is not acceptable. | Just lovely! With Elrond and Celebrian both taking the moral high-ground, it was inevitable the orcs would take the opportunity to attack the camp. Now what! | Ouch! Just when Elrond was glad to be home, looks like stuff is still cooking under the surface! Lots of misunderstandings, and poor Glorfindel meant well at the start of this! I guess Elrond feels like shipping all of them to Valinor! ;D Looking forward to more! Author Reply: you are right. The volcano is ready to erupt. Either he shipps all to Valinor or goes himself. | Wow! Ok, I'm firmly on Team Elrond here. just seems like the hits keep coming. Interesting to see Celebrian reaction to this accident and the aftermath. I like your portrayal of their relationship though, lol I always wondered if Elven couples experience the usual stresses of child rearing. Elrond is in a difficult position here, talk about having to tread carefully. Can't wait to see his next move. Author Reply: why should elven couples not quarrel from time to time, I wondered and Celebrian isn“t easy I guess. Elrond isn“t to envy with all the stress on his back - traumatisized children, many injured and of course Glorfindel and on topp an angry wife - not easy. | Lai, Are you trying to give me a heart attack??? Here I was ready for a "Happy ever after" and now Orcs!! lol Elrond has got to be ready to impale himself on his sword. I'm almost scared to ask "What next". very emotional, although Celebrian needs a spanking Author Reply: that was not my intention. LOL!
