A Light in May by Antigone Q |
Last Updated: 9/13/2009 |
A storm brings travelers and a mystery to peaceful Imladris. It's a "whodunnit" told largely from the point of view of young Estel, but also includes lots of Elrond, Gilraen, Legolas...and a little of Lovely Glorfindel for good measure.
The end of the story, "A Long Awaited Conclusion," is now posted. Enjoy. |

Aragorn's Moment by docmon |
Last Updated: 1/24/2007 |
WINNER 2007 MEFA Award! In FotR, we read: “Their farewells had been said in the great hall by the fire...Bilbo huddled in a cloak stood silent on the doorstep beside Frodo. Aragorn sat with his head bowed to his knees; only Elrond knew fully what this hour meant to him.” I have always wondered what Tolkien meant by that line: what did that hour, that moment mean to Aragorn? What was going through his head? What did Elrond know that no other did? This vignette is my interpretation of the moment.

Deific Flame by Bejai |
Last Updated: 11/27/2006 |
From the second age of Middle Earth to the third, few of the elders of the elves remain to guide the young. Still, relics of an ancient world exist, for good and ill. Divine banes return in a blaze of revolution, betrayal, war, balrog, death, and, perhaps, the indifference of the Valar. Yet there may be tempering strength in a refiner's fire. Featuring Galadriel, Celeborn, and Amroth -- their son. Chapter 12: Victory, of a sort, as seen from afar. |

Answering the Call by docmon |
Last Updated: 1/28/2006 |
FIRST PLACE in 2008 MEFA Awards! A series of vignettes in which each member of the Fellowship hears the call of the Ring-and answers it. My take on the big What-If, pursuing the possibility for each character to take the Ring. Varying degrees of angst, drama, action, and perhaps a little more angst. |
