Ooo...this was a good one too! What a plot idea! I very much enjoyed both the story and all the characters in their respective roles -- just the right cast. And very nice job w Arwen, I'm always interested to see how people write her, as we don't see much of her in the books. I want some apple cake now... :-P Thanks for writing! Author Reply: Your reviews are so lovely, thank you.

Wow. If even a day's worth of hobbit chatter can't distract it, they're in real trouble... ;-) So yeah, this is bad. Looking forward to seeing where it goes! Author Reply: Thank you so much for reading!

A most excellent story! I enjoyed it very much, and felt that your portrays were spot on for everyone! In particular, the deepening of the bond between Aragorn and Arwen was very well done; and it also made me think of Aragorn's future battle with Sauron over the palantir....... how this experience could have given him some insight in how to combat a mental invasion. Many thanks for posting this! :) Author Reply: Thank you, Teresa. This was a challenging tale, but a very satisfying one. I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

Love these last few chapters - Arwen helping to pull Aragorn back was wonderful and we all like a little delirious Strider, don't we? :-) Great story, as usual, and love Aragorn and the hobbits demolishing Rivendell's food supplies! Author Reply: Thank you so much! I truly appreciate you reading and commenting, especially wih internet challenges. Isn't there something wonderful about the hobbits interacting with their dear friend Strider, especially when it comes to food or comfort?

I'm am very glad that you have stayed in the fandom and kept writing for 10 years. You were one of the first people to welcome me into the fandom and I will always be grateful for that friendship. I loved the way the hobbits fussed over Aragorn. I also liked how bossy Merry was in this part and dear Sam, always being right when it comes to practical matters! This was a lovely fiction. I hope you will continue to write many more. Author Reply: Finding this fandom, my good friends, and discovering that I had stories to tell truly changed my life. Here's to 10 more years! *clinks glass with you* Thank you for your lovely review, and much-appreciated support.

This was a lovely chapter. It started out so tense and with such love from Arwen and I like the way you ended it on a humorous note with the apple cake and the hobbits. Bravo! Author Reply: Thank you! Anytime hobbits can lighten a mood (even when not physically present), it's a joy.

I finally managed to read your final chapter almost one week after I expected to. It was worth the wait. What a warm and delightful ending to a wonderful story. Ending it with the mention of how Aragorn and Arwen's bonding had been strengthened through his ordeal was perfect for me. It was such a perfect ending that it made me want to read the whole story again at one bout, and that is what I mean to do. Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. It gives me such pleasure to write a warm and peaceful ending to stories! I truly had no idea how the story would end until I was halfway finished with this last chapter.

Ahh... I did so enjoy this, even though it took me forever to sit down and read it! I loved your mix of gravity and lightness at the end, with the hobbits, the elves and Gandalf mingling in their intentions to keep Aragorn on his path of healing. And how unusual it is to read a story from you that did not feature Frodo! And yet I still enjoyed it very much. Your deft touch with speech and characterizations shone through even in this unusual story. Author Reply: Thank you so much, my friend, and bless our hobbits for bringing lightness into every dark place.

And thus is the power of the Maia revealed! Wow. "Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightning!" As irreverent as that quotation might be, it is what's running through my mind after that chapter. And after the tension of the confrontation, the sound of the birds beginning their song once more was so reassuring! Thank you for including that detail. Author Reply: Thank you for letting me know which details are memorable for you. I really appreciate that.
