Seeing Isn't Always Believing  by shirebound 226 Review(s)

These two are keepers, Shirebound, especially the second. Yes, Frodo feeling he is the Sword that has been broken, needing a different reforging....

Author Reply: Thank you so much. It was an interesting analogy to explore, even briefly.

Thanks Shirebound - I just love hobbit hugs. I know its cheeky to review twice but I wanted another read (and while working too)! Can I please second Esamen's request for a ficlet from the Quarantined universe. I know, I know, RL has to happen too. *Imagines self with Pippin's big pleading, soulful eyes*!

Author Reply: Two reviews is a wonderful compliment! (Hopefully RL will someday see how important it is to be able to write about hobbits whenever we get the urge.)

“Good morning, Frodo,” Aragorn said softly, smiling with joy and relief.

Oh . . . I'm sighing my own sigh of joy and relief. What a lovely moment to read about. I really, really love Aragorn's special relationship with Frodo.

I have a little request . . . even though I don't do LiveJournal (I have to keep myself on a strict reading-writing schedule so I only indulge in SoA).

I treasure the special Aragorn-Frodo relationship of "Quarantined." You mentioned that in this AU, Gandalf had plenty of time between Rivendell and Moria to magically curtail Aragorn's and Frodo's memories of the relationship, so that Aragorn could bear to let Frodo go to Mordor.

Would you do a little ficlet with Aragorn and Frodo, and maybe some Sam or others thrown in, showing that relationship on the road sometime after Rivendell but before Gandalf curtails the memories?

That would be so delightful, like visiting a favorite place.

Thanks for considering it, and I can't wait for the next chapter of Force of Nature!

Hugs,
esamen

Author Reply: Thanks, Esamen. Actually, I've been dying to try an "on the quest" fic from the "Quarantined" universe (maybe even something in Moria). Problem is, I only have time to write one story at a time, these days -- so a lot of things I'd like to write about are on hold. But if I can think of a 'ficlet', I'll certainly let you know about it!

:::giggles:: Oh please, don't stop. I love a good footrub and Aragorn... ok, stopping right there before I slide into some gutter somewhere! :O lol

What a wonderful way to wake up. ;)

"I'm the sword that was broken..." how incredibly PROFOUND SB. Wow. That really touched me. And I loved the fact that Arwen and Aragorn thought of Frodo sailing... nice touch.

Author Reply: Thanks, Dayna. Yes, that foot rub sounds delightful, doesn't it?

These are beautiful. I just *love* Aragorn in healer mode, taking care of hobbits. Just so lovely and peaceful!

Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower. I do love Aragorn-healer and hobbits-being-healed (and also the other way around!).

I love this every time I read it and I have read it nearly a dozen times so far. Great story!

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I'm sure there will be more to come... Frodo can never get enough comfort and TLC!

awwwwwwww that's nice! *gives Boromir a big wet smacker on the cheek*

Best to read it in an air conditioned room this time of year *wink wink*

Author Reply: *Boromir blushes from all the attention he's getting*

Yes, the gentle yet fierce love of Hobbits for one another.

Love how Boromir also feels bound to honor the protection they offer Frodo.

Author Reply: Thank you. I don't remember reading, in the books, that Boromir actually swore any oath to Frodo (as he did in the movie), but on that long journey south, he did everything he could to defend Frodo and the Fellowship.
