| A very appropriate custom for the Riders of Rohan and for their horses the greatest honor of all. But I also understand that Sam would never do such a thing. | LOL! How I love hobbits' secret delight! And Gandalf is in on the secret! *grin* (I remember something similar from a notion of mine, but I made it up - that "Ernil i Pheriannath" sounded a bit like a Dwarfish curse, to Tookish ears, which made the hobbits very merry indeed as they walked about Minas Tirith after the War. But you've found something in canon for amusement, which is wonderful indeed!) Author Reply: It's nice to imagine little moments of mirth and 'conspiracy' along the road of this very dangerous quest. I'm sure I've read that story, it sounds so familiar. It's delightful when the hobbits share a fun secret. | |
