Elf Academy Part Deux  by Fiondil 18 Review(s)

“The Lady Galadriel was always a formidable elleth,” Vorondur said with a nod. “I gave Celeborn credit for putting up with her.”

“I think they call it love, but with those two, I was never sure.

And as we all know, love is blind. *snickers*
This was a hilarious chapter. Absolutely hilarious. You made my day. I especially liked the banter between Alex and Derek, although I really want to know why Alex is so worried about his friend.
Poor Shane, having both the virus *and* her mother! And they're in the same in as Farrell? Oh, please, could they give him the virus?

Author Reply: That it is, Soledad. *grin*

Glad you found the chapter so funny, especially the banter between Alex an Derek, and that it made your day. As to why Alex is so worried about Derek, that will be shown in a subsequent chapter.

As for Farrell... oh well, not everyone gets the virus. Some people are just lucky that way.

Thanks for leaving a comment. It's greatly appreciated.

I rather liked the little talk between Glorfindel and Vorondur. Galadriel sounded rather high-strung - good that she has Celeborn around to calm her down. As for the present situation - Elrohir probably looks at vorondur as his very own, personal balrog! ;-)
Poor Shane! Stuck with her mother, and both of them sick, on top of it!

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. I'm glad you liked the talke between Vorondur and Glorfindel. I thought it was an interesting conversation, myself. Galadriel is, well, Galadriel and I think Celeborn pretty much kept her in line. And you're probably right about how Elrohir feels about Vorondur at this point. I imagine that's true with most prospective sons-in-law.

Thanks for taking the time to read and review. It's much appreciated.

Well, it wasn't that bad, I was expecting another catastrophe.
How old are Alex and Derek? I remember Jud and Co to be young, but I'm not sure how young Alex and Derek are.
A Wedding and babies!!! they are going to be busy in Alaska.
Hey, no POOR ALEX today.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. No, this chapter was pretty mellow in comparison to other chapters, though it doesn't necessary mean they're out of the woods just yet. Derek is in his late twenties, while Alex is in his mid-thirties, though he has the ability to look younger than his years with his disguises. And they will certainly be busy with weddings and babies in the next year. Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Thank you, O Great and Mysterious Stories of Arda, for accepting my sacrifice and permitting me to (finally) comment on a story. -prostrates self- (Maybe next time it'll even let me create an account, but that's probably too much to ask of the site right now. ;)

I laughed at Galadriel's response to Elrond. Poor guy. I can only imagine how mortified he was.

The Elves have a lot to be excited for...first Nimrodel's expecting Elflings, now there's talk of a wedding...I wonder if Elrohir and Serindë are considering having Elflings themselves. If so, would a child of theirs be considered a peredhel? That might get...interesting.

Well, things seem to be going a little more smoothly. Even Alex seems to be getting better, although we've never really learned the story of his hospital breakout or specifically what he was afraid would happen to Derek (if he was worried about something specific.) The skits and music seem to be taking his mind off of whatever it was, though.

Now that all is seemingly nice and quiet on the Elf Academy front, I'm just waiting for all hell to break loose (not that it hasn't already. ;)

Author Reply: Hi Whispy. I'm glad the system is allowing you to leave reviews now. Maybe you should check with the Mods as to why you're having so much trouble with it.

Anyway, that's a good question as to what any children of Elrohir (or Elladan) would be if they married a full-blooded Elf. Were they to marry a Mortal and had children, I would assume the children would be Mortal, though perhaps longer lived than normal. Maybe one day we'll find out.

As for Alex's hospital breakout, we won't learn any details about that as no one will really think to ask him, and he may not even remember too clearly what he was doing, given his condition. Suffice to say, that with his espionage training, he was well equipped to sneak out in full view of everyone.

And while we have a lull, that doesn't mean things won't get interesting again, though perhaps not quite as frenetic as it has been lately.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

O.K. What's next, you're setting us up for something! This was a nice comfortable chapter with nothing major happening.

Ooops, Shane and her mother trapped in her apartment for the duration, let's hope they can actually sit down and talk, something they have not been doing!

Good to see that Alex is getting better, He and Derek sound just like a friend at work and I do, we have had several people compare us to an old married couple!

Waiting for Friday and the other shoe to drop!

Keep on improving!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Well, you know me: always a calm before the storm, but really, not everything bad happens all at once and there are lulls where nothing happens at all, which is pretty much true to life, if you think about it.

The other shoe may drop but not necessarily immediately.

Thanks for your review and good wishes. Both are greatly appreciated.

my favorite lines of the story so far:

“The Lady Galadriel was always a formidable elleth,” Vorondur said with a nod. “I gave Celeborn credit for putting up with her.”

“I think they call it love, but with those two, I was never sure. ”

ROTFL!!!!!

Author Reply: I know you got a kick out of these lines when you first read them, Ellie. Glad to know they still tickle you.

Hi Fiondil, wishing you a full and speedy recovery.Since I live in Perth Western Australia,we don't have snow and ice storms. After reading this chapter I'm glad we don't,even though we are comming into winter.I'm even more interested as to why Alex should be worried about Derek. Why do I feel in my bones, that things are only starting to warm up(he!he!). Can't wait for the next chapter.LOL Galathil.

Author Reply: Hi Galathil. I know someone else from Perth. Yep, you guys are lucky not to have the experience of snow and ice storms and the like. And you're right that things are only just beginning to warm up. Thanks for leaving a review and thanks for your good wishes for my recovery, which is going along well enough. Both are greatly appreciated.

Are you sure Farrell is not sick too? Maybe freezing or something else that hurts? Anyway, excellent update. Clever Elves for thinking of food and music. Yea for the students who offered to help with both activities. Still glad it is warm where I am.

Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. I don't think Farrell is sick or freezing or anything else. Some people are lucky that way. *grin* Glad you liked the chapter. I'm glad it's nice and warm, too. Reading this part of the story when it really is cold outside would've been tough (and writing about it during the winter wasn't all that fun either, though our winter never really happened this year). Thanks for commenting. It's really appreciated.
