The Journey Home  by Fiondil 647 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 2/5/2013
To have hope once more is a truly great gift. May their journey be swift and not too fraught with peril.

Author Reply: Yes, it is, Larner. But I fear your prayer for a swift and safe journey for them will not be answered (or where's the story?) but it will be (hopefully) interesting, at least for the reader. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

So, hopw]e of return remains even in this cold age. And the way is frozen? Interesting--then north might prove the way indeed. Now--which?

Author Reply: We'll find out as the story progresses, Larner.

I have been trying to figure out which of the Valar are having this conversation, Manwe and Namo obviously and, I think, possibly, Irmo. This is snother of those occasions when being a fly on the wall would be an advantage!

I remember the kerfluffle when you wrote the short story that this is an expansion of. We live in interesting times!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. I suspect all the Valar are in on the discussion but the only two of them we can say for sure are there are Manwë and Námo. I purposely did not specify who was saying what, though in one instance you can tell it's Námo speaking because of what is said, because in speaking mind-to-mind, they are all in on the conversation wherever they happen to be.

And we do indeed live in interesting times.

Hope is such a good feeling to have. It seems to brings the smell of cherry blossoms to me when I feel there is hope. They seem to be excited to have something to do besides wait and freeze their behinders off.

Author Reply: Hope is indeed a good feeling to have, Laer. Interesting that you smell cherry blossoms, but it's understandable. And yes, having a purpose in life does make one excited. Thanks for revieiwing. I appreciate it.

I love your writing. It makes me want to brush out my paper and pens and draw. Creating is such a wonderful outlet for feelings. And you, sir must have some very good ones to create something so wonderful and addicting. Hmmm now who can it be? ;)

Author Reply: Hi Laer. I wish I had the talent to draw some of the scenes that I write, but I don't. Do feel free to draw them yourself. *grin* As to who it can be, we'll find out soon enough. Thanks for reviewing. It's greatly appreciated.

I loved the "scent of a new story" comment made by one of the other reviewers. From the outset they just have hope to go on, yet that hope is such an important gift that the Valar will give them. Hope inspires people to many things. Let's hope that their hope is enough for the one they are sent to save. What an amazing adventure lies ahead!

Author Reply: So do I, ellie, it's a neat image. And hope is sometimes the difference between life and death. These Elves have chosen life over death: death of the spirit more than death of the body. We'll see how the continue to keep hope alive as the adventure continues. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

TariReviewed Chapter: Prologue on 2/4/2013
I'm hooked and waiting for more. Who are the mysterious Elves, she wonders?

Author Reply: You'll just have to wait and find out, Tari, but I promise I won't leave you hanging for long. Glad you're hooked. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.
