| *sniff sniff* The yummy scent of a new story. It smells like ice and juniper and wooly mammoth fur and cold wood. Unexplored time period! Ice Age! Long-lost Elves! A perilous journey! A distant home, calling and calling... Oh, this is gonna be good. *grin* Poor Denethor and the others, thinking they wouldn't be able to go home after all that time. I'll listen to it while I'm working and hopefully it won't put me to sleep. *grin* I think Denethor and the others were in despair, or at least were apathetic and merely going through the motions by this time, so this adventure is just what they need. | This is great! I was thinking that I will miss your updates every week and here we have another story! I won't speculate who is the Exiled One, I have an idea, but with you, it is better no to guess, you really like to surprise us. Thank you Author Reply: You're most welcome, Fantasia. | Ooo, a new story, but not about the Elf Academy crew, differant Elves with a differant purpose. I do know who they are tracking down, let's hope they journey swiftly and safely, but where would the tale be in that?! Waiting for Friday, Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. | Yay, something else to read! I hope Denethor and the others find the Exiled One soon (I think it's Maglor, but it's just a guess!) Is Denethor's father Mablung of Doriath or is the name a coincidence? Wonder if this band of elves will meet any of the gang from Elf Academy? No doubt the Valar will interfere again as well ;) Can't wait for the next chapter! Author Reply: Hi Ilya. The names of the characters are just common Sindarin names and they do not necessarily belong to any canon characters per se. There is only one canon character in this story for most of it, all the others in Denethor's group are original characters. As for the Valar, we'll see to what extent if any they interfere. You may be surprised at what they do and don't do. Anyway, I'm glad you're looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. | |

| Wow! I was not expecting a new story this morning. If you announced it, I missed the news. Of course I am delighted. Do not have much to say yet other than cries of joy. We have new characters and an adventure ahead. Thanks so much. Author Reply: I did make mention of it while answering reviews for the final chapter of "Christmas at Edhellond" but it wasn't an all-out announcement. | Yehey! Another new story to look forward to. I wonder who they are going to rescue? I'm really looking forward to this one. I loved your other stories, specially Elf Interrupted (1 and 2) and Elf Academy (all three!). Anything with Glorfindel in it is sure to get me hooked. Good luck with this new story...and someday, I hope you will have time to write about Glorfindel again, from the time he met Elrond on the dock at Lindon, until the time Elrond left him to sail for Valinor...surely he wasn't twiddling his thumb in Imladris during the War of the Ring? Thanks again for all the beautiful stories... Author Reply: Hi Celeth. We'll find out who soon enough who they have been sent to rescue. I'm glad you're looking foward to this story and have enjoyed my other stories. And writing about Glorfindel from the time he arrived in Middle-earth and meets Elron to the time Elrond left to go to Valinor is a very long time to cover but we may see something of what he was doing someday or at least hear about it when he tells others about his life. And no, I very much doubt he was twiddling his thumbs during the Ring War. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated. | |
