Take that Sauron! :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: If only it HAD been the proper end for the creature!

Thank God for Gandalf and Aragorn!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Oh, I so agree! Happy Easter!

Author Reply: I agree, as you know. And thank the Father for Gollum, too.

Oh, how I would love to read a full length story of Erandil's voyage!

Author Reply: I have so many other stories to finish before I'd dare begin that one! Thanks! Glad it leaves one wanting more.

Bless Hobbits! What would this world be like without them? Most likely far too solemn, I suspect.

That's it, exactly! Hobbits are born survivors and know how to make the best of any situation. Besides, they have a talent to make you smile :-)

Author Reply: Oh, you have nailed it right on the head, Andrea! Thanks!

Love it! Glad we don't have to discover what the world would be like without hobbits.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: The Master certainly gave us quite a gift when he brought them to our attention.

LOL! Aragorn must have hard put to it not to laugh when Merry made his request. =)

Author Reply: Oh, but I do think you are right there, Kathy! Thanks!

Ah, the dreadful moment captured in a nutshell. Great stuff. Another way Sauron defeated himself that they were aware of what he did.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Oh, yes--as Gandalf notes, all too often evil manages to injure itself when it seeks to hurt others. Sauron didn't always learn from his mistakes.

AntaneReviewed Chapter: 17 on 3/24/2016
Another sign of how much he has grown. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Oh, yes--he has indeed become one of the Wise now!

Well, this is a very neutral statement. But it is Paladin Frodo is talking to, the hobbit who did not believe his son a single word of what he told him of the quest.

So I think that there were at least some men (and women) who Frodo considered as his equals ;-)

Author Reply: I agree, and Frodo did find some Men who were worth caring about. Yes, there were fools and idiots, but they have never been in the majority, thank heavens!

But the One Ring doesn’t release Its bearers as did the Dwarven ones.

That makes me shudder, too. Sadly there was no chance for Smeagol to survive the destruction of the Ring.

Author Reply: It's a pretty grim thought, I agree. At least Smeagol took the Ring with him, and It had no chance to hurt anyone else other than Its Master.
