Biography:   My favorite characters are the Mirkwood Elves and the Elven King in particular. I think Thranduil and his situation is very intriguing probably because Tolkien tells us so little about it. It is a fanfic dream.

I am currently posting a very long fanfic called Interrupted Journeys that is my take on the history of Thranduil and Legolas starting in the beginning of the Third Age. The story covers Thranduil's first years as king, the courtship of his wife, his move to the stronghold in the north of Greenwood, the birth of his son, Legolas's adventures and concludes when both father and son are in Valinor. It has romance, mystery, angst, drama...there will be something for everyone and some parts may be more interesting than others depending on your tastes.

I hope you enjoy it.

bullet With Friends Like These by Jay of Lasgalen Last Updated: 3/7/2009
The story is a series of misadventures chronicling the early, 'teenage' years of Elladan, Elrohir and Legolas. Action, humour and angst.

This series starts in TA 147. Elladan and Elrohir are seventeen, Legolas is twelve. I have made one very small departure from canon, and moved Arwen’s birth forward by 100 years. This was necessary so the four can grow up together in the course of the story.

bullet When All Lights Pass by Werecat Last Updated: 10/10/2004
Set at Pelargir after the Battle of Fornost, this story deals with a young man suffering from the Black Shadow, a desperate mother and two strange travellers, one clad in grey and one in earthen brown. They say that the hands of the king can heal... and there were kings in Arda before Aragorn’s time. Slightly AU, this story also draws inspiration from H.P.Lovecraft's "Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath". For Nilmandra, who inspired this.

Those who have read Far Horizons might have some interest in the fate of Minastan Terendulion. (This turned out not to follow the intended plan, which was much more simplistic and in line with Thranduil's response.) There are appearances from Elrond, Thranduil and Finarfin, but the focus is mainly on Minastan.
