Speaking the Dead by Lindorien |

Speak not lightly of where our hearts are laid;
Dance not spritely where our spirits fade;
In respectful silence read the life we tread;
With hearts reflective let us speak our dead.

The Summary Version of LOTR by Lindorien |
Last Updated: 7/18/2004 |
aka The Trials and Tribulations of a Drabbler
Drabbles are shortfics containing EXACTLY 100 words -- no more, no less. Look around this site -- there are tons of the things floating around. I'll stick a few of mine up sometime even. The purpose of this Summary version of the LOTR is to aid the Drabbler in a Serious and Comprehensive way to extract the most salient points of the LOTR so that s/he will be successful in his/her drabbling efforts. Think of it as the Cliff Notes Version |

Captain Thorongil and The Corsairs by Lindorien |
Last Updated: 7/16/2004 |
Oh no! Not THAT song again! Yes, it's another multiparter by Lindorien. I'll finish this. I promise.
For Acacea and with her kind permission.
Please see her lovely drabble series, Interludes, found on this site. Then go blame thank her for this.
Some of the songs get a little, um, risque. Those chapters ARE NOT marked 'Adult', I just want to be certain you're all warned and stuff. I'm kinda an old fuddy-duddy about those things. So - an occasional line maybe. |

A few of my drabbles -- all in one place. I expanded this. No. 10 is a double drabble and number 9 a triple - mostly because I couldn't shut myself up. Hope you like it!
Inspired by Elvenesse and hoping to keep her at bay until I can do more writing on my Works of a More Serious Nature, I have added all my drabbles of chapters of the Silmarillion and the LOTR, including one from the Appendix.
Hope you all enjoy it. For reference work on how to mine necessary info out of The Great |

The Brothers Gondor -- separation, longing, mourning -- this story belongs to them. Unusual situations and atypical handling. Somewhat a/u. Please consider the authors notes at the end for explanations of the canon departures.
Majorly rewritten because obsessive is my middle name. Those of you who haven't yet read - I hope you enjoy. Those of you who have read it already - I hope you like it better!

Forsake Not the Future by Lindorien |
Last Updated: 3/5/2004 |
A challenge to write drinking songs was proposed on another Tolkien site. I considered seriously what sort of song might be appropriate to Middle-Earth following the War of the Rings. Here is my interpretation of the challenge.
Call the singers Men of Gondor, or Men of Rohan, Men of Dale or Elves of the Golden Wood. Perhaps they are Hobbits, or any other of the many nameless and faceless down through the ages who have gone when duty called.
A song dedicated to any soldier, in any f |

The Real Version of the LOTR by Lindorien |

Really, REALLY AU. My own wierd brand of humor. Stars Legolas and everybody else in the Lord of the Rings and bunches of other people besides. Based on the writings of the PURPLE Book, which was secreted under a pile of old receipts and moldy Sauron Comics in the Non-Circulating Room of the Fabled Libraries of Minas Tirith in the basement of the Citadel.

In Love's Sweet Embrace I Sleep by Lindorien |
Last Updated: 11/8/2003 |
I had no time to hate, because
The grave would hinder me,
And life was not so ample I

Some industry must be,
The little toil of love, I thought,
Was large enough for me.

Good Counsel by Lindorien |

Hopelessly rude, crude and socially unacceptable. Please do not throw tomatoes, they will stain the carpet. Otherwise, please laugh a lot and remember this is a piece of humor. If you left your sense of it under the bed this morning, avoid this one like the plague!
